INTRODUCTION
Self development is defined as gaining of information which is required in person’s
working life, acquisition of new information and developing skills and knowledge that is
maintained in one’s life (Benfari, 2013). This is also called personal development of an
individual which helps in identification of strengths and weaknesses of person. In order to work
in an organisation, it is very important to have self development for positive outcomes. It is the
reflection report that identifies strengths, weaknesses and ways to overcome them along with
SMART objectives to carry out task in proper manner.
MAIN BODY
Reflection
While working in group, I have analysed my strengths, weaknesses and skills which is required
to accomplish given work (Benfari, 2013). I was working in group of six people where I was the
leader of group and remaining members assist me to complete work in given time period. The
project is related with skills required for solving problems in an effective and efficient manner.
For working in team or individual, strengths required are team working, decision making, multi
tasking, managing time, creativity and innovation. As I have already worked in many projects
and perform group assignment task, so I am good in managing team, assisting them in decision
making and solving problems in creative and innovative manner to achieve set outcomes. When I
worked in team for first time, my leader provided me with feedback so that I can improve myself
in best manner. I also apply same thing for my group members so that they can improve
themselves in best manner for their career development. With the working in various project
works, I have developed my negotiating, customer service, coaching, verbal communication
skills to perform work in best manner to gain positive results.
I am a good leader because I believe in working with my team along with their and my
development so that same problem or issues would not arise in front of us to perform similar
type of task. As each individual is not perfect, I also lack some skills such as written
communication, designing and working in uncertainty. It is not possible for me to perform good
written communication as I am better in verbal which is required in work performance at
organisation or business. Also I can solve problem but to design those scenario is very difficult
for me though I can provide proper guidance to my team members for better performance. There
