Introduction
Just in time is being considered as an inventory system which is very affective in
management practices. Just in time is the method that can help to manage the inventory system
in the workplace. In another word, it can be said that by using the JIT management technique, it
becomes easier for the organization increase its performance efficiency as well as cut the cost by
reducing the amount of wastage (Zarandi & Kayvanfar, 2015). The purpose of this study is to
analyze different journal articles and identify the issues. The three selected articles are ‘Lean
thinking: reduction of waste, lead time, cost through lean manufacturing tools and technique’,
An alternative solution technique of the JIT lot-splitting model for supply chain management’
and ‘Quality management approaches and their impact on firms׳ financial performance–An
Australian study’. At the end of this study recommendations have been provided, which can be
beneficial for the organizations to implement the Just in time strategy in the workplace in right
manner.
Analysis
Modi and Thakkar (2014) stated that in case of increasing the efficiency of the
management, the just in time technique is being utilized in the workplace. By applying the just in
time technique, the waste which is associated with the excess inventory, overproduction and
others material related issues can be effectively solved. By maintaining the uniform production
system, the financial cost can be decreased. It also helps to reduce the inventory as well as the
labor in the project. By maintaining continuous improvement as well as increasing employee
flexibility, Just in time approach helps to reduce the working time.
On the other hand, by arguing this Nahum-Shani, Hekler and Spruijt-Metz (2015) stated that in
order to properly maintain the equipment, the JIT approach helps to introduce the effective

preventive maintenance of equipment, which helps the organization to avoid time issues. By
reducing the waiting time as well as the storage, the JIT management approach is beneficial for
every organization. It cannot be denied that the JIT management approach is beneficial for
encouraging the fastest machinery production setup. Depending on the demands of the products,
the production process is being started. As its result, the company is being able to deliver the
standard quality of materials to the customers.
Not only the JIT approach is cost effective but also it is beneficial in terms of developing
stronger relationship as well as employee satisfaction in the workplace. By encouraging the
multiple skill of the employees, JIT approach helps the management to bring creativity and
innovation in the workplace. It helps to maintain the flexibility and effective team working
atmosphere in the workplace. As its result, production system in the organization can be
improved, which can help to gain the competitive advantage in the market. By arguing this

in the workplace, the operational cost and non-value-added costs can be reduced. It cannot be
denied that after introducing the JIT approaches in the workplace, it has become easier for the
management to introduce an effective supply chain process. After the introduction of Just in time
approach in operation management, the automated purchasing process has been introduced in the
workplace. In this process, the suppliers are being able to get the electronic message, which has
helped to improve the efficiency of the employees.
According to Modi and Thakkar (2014), by following the JIT approach, the limited
numbers of suppliers are being introduced as its result, the firm makes sure that it is working
with the reliable suppliers. By continuing this, it can be said that in order to get long term benefit
for the organization, the JIT approach helps to meet the requirement of supply chain
