This article discusses the deleterious materials, sustainable design and future defects of three different buildings: a single residential dwelling house built after 1990, a framed office/commercial building (not retail above the ground floor) of four or more storeys built between 1930 and 1970, and a traditional Victorian (pre 1900) commercial property.
