Tour operators organize, arrange and promote travel and holiday options collaborating
with airlines, hotels and transport companies for ground travel, to complete the arrangements.
They advise customers about where to travel and the appropriate way of getting to such
destinations. As an event organizer, developing an event plan is a common task within my duties.
Currently, operating tours is becoming highly competitive. Touring businesses strive to gain a
high volume of turnover as well as maximum domestic and international market share by
operating effectively1. Developing and developed nations both depend heavily on the ability of
tour operators to develop and promote the tourism plant. It is our duty as tour organizers to
attract tourists as well as diversify the tourism product and social responsibilities to create a
remote and backward area.
As a Tour organizing company, we offer a variety of events within our plan including;
adventure tourism, which is the movement of people to different places outside their comfort
zone to explore or travel to remote destinations, hostile as well as exotic areas. The company
organizes different adventure activities such as scuba diving, hill climbing, and skydiving.
Adventure tourism is growing in popularity, especially among the youth. It is linked to high
levels of activity by the participant, most of which are carried out outdoors. Appropriate
adventure tours should be organized by the company to ensure the travelers experience a
different level of excitement, risk, tranquility as well as get personally tested.
Another event we offer includes ecotourism. This is the kind of event that involves
tourists travelling to enjoy the wonderful diversity of human culture as well as natural life found
in the world, without causing damage to both. The company organizes escapades that involve

travels to significantly uncontaminated and undisturbed natural regions, specifically to study,
admire as well as discover the scenery and the wilderness found in these areas2.
We incorporate different events that are unique in our tour plans such as mass tourism
travels. Mass tourism is more of a traditional form of tourism development dominated by short-
term, free-market principles and is based on maximizing income. By involving large amounts of
people visiting a leisure destination at one time, the company looks to enjoy several benefits
including; more foreign exchange earnings, infrastructural and employment growth, including
transport networks. By offering this type of tourism, the company benefits from applying
emerging internet and transportation technologies. Tourists can research about our mass tourism
offers as well as book and pay for their holidays online.
Alternative tourism should also be included in the tour plan. Alternative tourism involves
a variety of touring strategies such as soft, eco, responsible, green as well as people to people
tourism. Following the recent criticism of the destructive impacts that mass tourism has on the
environment, societies, and culture, placing alternative tourism within the tour plan would build
our reputation as a unique touring business that is mindful of the environment. Alternative
tourism is a unifying strategy that is capable of merging economic growth, environmental
protection, as well as the well-being of communities. Alternative tourism regulates the usage of
natural resources and to control the attendance levels of the tourists. Alternative tourism places
priority on conserving resources as well as the sustainable growth of communities.
