INTRODUCTION
Personal development plan is defined as an action plan which is based on awareness,
values, goal setting as well as doing planning for personal development in relation with career,
education and so on. There are various things which are involved in personal development plan
like strengths, objectives, development options, benchmarks and many more. To create a
personal development plan different steps are need to be followed which starts from determining
all goals, identifying strengths as well as weaknesses, certain development opportunities,
identification of threats, setting up clear objectives, seeking help and final the last stage of
reviewing it. The below report is based on a personal development plan for the next five years,
aspects of overall journey, key smart goals, determining different activities that will help in
achieving goals.

Key smart goals
Smart goals are defined as a framework which works together in order to create goals
which need to be efficiently planned and must be clear in all aspects? It stands for Specific,
Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and also been time based. It is further been explained as
below:-
Specific:- To make a goal efficient it is important that it should be specific. It includes
aspect like what kind of goals and objectives are there which need to be fulfilled, who
will be responsible for it and what necessary steps should be taken to achieve those
objectives.
Measurable:- Goals should always be measurable. With respect to this it becomes easy
for an individual to measure the level of progress and know when you will reach the
finish line.
Achievable:- Goals should always be real so that they can be achieved. It mainly means
that an individual should assure that the goal is within the reach and can be achieved.
Relevant:- The must be a real advantage linked with the chosen target. At this stage a
person need to determine why goals and objectives matters to an individual and the
organization. So, after identification of all benefits they should be incorporated into smart
goals so that it can lead to better growth.
Time bound:- Objectives always have a deadline and it is also considered as the main
stage because without having a deadline no one would show interest in achieving those
targets.
