Introduction
This study focusses to explore Tesco within four dimensions as set out through the learning
outcomes related with the performance management module. In order to achieve the learning
objectives, it is needed to draw upon the practical work experience with primary as well as
secondary research with various resources. In this study, the performance management
process is being briefly described within Tesco in order to ensure the responsibility of
delivering the strategic objectives. In this respect, the tools and techniques are set up for
achieving the team performance targets. It critically evaluates the agreed performance targets
within Tesco for the individuals in a team as compared with the present performance of the
employees.
The study is written from point of view of a senior manager working in Tesco and has the
leadership responsibilities. These responsibilities are related with the aspects of performance
management within the team and it seems that there is a lot of contribution as a senior
manager for achieving the goals and objectives of the organization, like Tesco.

The team performance working is found to involve in case of developing the number of some
interrelated process which makes the impact over the performance of the organization
through their people in some areas, like productivity, profits, quality, growth, the customer
service levels, the delivery of enhanced the value of shareholder (ADR International, 2017).
It is achieved through increasing the skills as well as it also found to engage with the

enthusiasm of the employees. It is the leadership, vision along with the benchmarking so that
it will create the sense of momentum as well as the direction.
In the case of Team Performance Management, it is found to focus in case of achievement of
the key business objectives of the team. Thereby, the performance decreases the gap within
the team building of ‘enablers’ and their business performance results (Barrick & Mount,
1991). This will remove the reliance over faith as it requires in believing that the team
building will works before the investing and so it helps to establish the direct connection in
between the team performance as well as the collective behaviours.
A.C. 1.2
Most of the performances will measure in case of grouping them following it in six general
categories. In this organization, like Tesco, it is needed to develop that the categories as the
appropriate as it is based on the mission of the organization:
Effectiveness: The process characteristics are indicated as the degree for which the process
output i.e. the work product as it conforms with the requirements as they are doing the right
things together.
Efficiency: It is the process characteristic as it is indicated the degree for which there is the
process provides the main output at the minimum resource cost (Bassioni, et al., 2015).
Quality: It is indicated the degree for which the product or the service meets the customer
requirements as well as the expectations.
Timeliness: The measures are performed at the unit of work which is done correctly as well
as on the time. Thereby the criteria are needed to establish in the case to define constitutes the
