Executive Summary
Priority Advertising company is based in Brisbane CBD and the list of clients have
been increasing in other cities such as Toowoomba. Since each department has
different resources and services, the resources need to be shared through local area
network. LAN connects all the computers in different departments together. There
should good plan of LAN in connecting computers, mobile printers and scanners.
Priority Advertising has recently purchased a five-story building in a Brisbane
suburb. they can allocate a separate floor to each of their five departments,
namely; marketing, advertising, graphic design, photography, and HR and
accounting. Upgrading of Priority advertising network means increase in profit and
clients.

1. Introduction
Priority Advertising currently hires 95 employees and operates from Level 10 and 11
on the X Tower in Brisbane CBD. Priority Advertising has recently purchased a five-
story building in a Brisbane suburb. they can allocate a separate floor to each of
their five departments, namely; marketing, advertising, graphic design,
photography, and HR and accounting. Also, Priority Advertising’s list of customers
has greatly expanded to other cities, mainly Toowoomba where their customers in
Toowoomba are demanding more interactive advertising media, including video
presentations. The management recognizes the business potential in this new
market in Toowoomba and have leased a small office in Toowoomba. Network
planning should connect the main office in Brisbane CBD and the sub branch in
Toowoomba. The employees in Brisbane CBD should be able to share resources with
the employees in Toowoomba through local area network connecting the main
office and the branch office.
2. Project proposal
A. Recent technology
 Fourteen 10/100Mb switches with 10 ports each
 Older PC with 2GB memory
 250GB Hard drive
 7 USB ports
 AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core processor
 CD/DVD write/read drives
 Additionally, graphics production editors (team of 10 employees in Brisbane)
utilize PCs with 8 GB of memory and 500 Gb hard drive to run special editing
software that uses very high-resolution graphics
 Windows 7 operating systems
B. New updated technology
 All PCs running Windows 7 should be upgraded to Windows 10

 Good planning and implementation of physical and logical layout
 Upgrading of computers and printers
 Computers should be upgraded to 16 GB of memory and over 1TB hard
disk(Hofman, Hayward, Kelly, and Balkenhol, 2018).
 All departments should send and receive resources through local area
network.

 Connect the office in Brisbane CBD and Toowoomba
 Secure service.
 Integration and upgrade of network.
 Collaboration in various activities among the departments.
