The implementation of the knowledge audit of IC reportingproject by the company followed the bottom up approach and utilized the STOCKS knowledgetool to evaluate the healthiness of knowledge within the company. This report discusses theproject, the knowledge audit system used by the company, and the knowledge tool and itproposes a new system to be adopted to better utilizes the knowledge audit processes within thecompany.

4IntroductionIt is important for organizations to address its knowledge capabilities through the knowledgeaudit process. The GPBI Company, the world leading manufacturer of batteries, developed aknowledge audit with IC reporting that covered only two project plants of its business. Itsknowledge audit tool, STOCKS should be developed to apply the video conferencing to savetime, enhance the audit system, and enable the system to be applied to all of the workers withinthe organization. The company relations with its stakeholders is a poor relation, which reflectslack of relational capital with customers and suppliers. GPBI do not pay much attention tocertification and regulatory bodies, which might result in the risk of regulatory actions towardsthe company. The current system requires regular update, as the IC indicators and the knowledgeinventory constantly changes and the VAQMP processes need to reflect the changes in theknowledge assets or knowledge workers [ CITATION Chi11 \l 1033 ]. As the intellectualcapital (IC) is considered the aggregation of the intellectual assets of the organization. It consistsof the human capital, structural capital, and the relational capital [ CITATION Val161 \l 1033 ].IC focuses on the intangible capabilities, which is considered a valuable organizational resourcethat creates value to the organization and increase its competitiveness. The following section discusses the knowledge audit of IC reporting project adopted by theGPBI Company, its background, objectives, strategies, and stakeholders. Then it analyses thebusiness context, the current business processes and problems, the proposed new system, andmethod of evaluation for the users to follow while using the system.
