INDRODUCTION
Academic skills are the skills that are applied to learning and help a learner to develop
research and study skills which will be beneficial in future (Chen and et.al., 2017). Development
of academic skills and study with confidence will help an individual to achieve academic
success which reflects the overall potential of an individual. This study will focus on
Development effective study skills and self confidence in academically able young adolescents.
Along with this, the study is going to cover Students perceptions of their information literacy
skills and the confidence gap between male and female international graduate students.
MAIN BODY
1. Developing effective study skills and self confidence in academically able young adolescents.
Study skills are the skills which help young adults to learn effectively. However, self
confidence is about developing own personal abilities. It help to encourage adults to take risks
and express their ability during their academic sessions. It build a optimistic nature in young
adults. Effective study skill can be developed by reading internationally published papers and
novels to make a habit of reading and making notes. By reading newspapers and knowing more
about the world and surrounding aids in making an individual confident and when they win an
argument over such topics make them more aware and self confident. . Such strategies include
offering praise, set some achievable goals, give choices to the adults and encourage them.
2. Students perceptions of their information literacy skills: the confidence gap between male and
female international graduate students.
It is necessary for an adult to have effective literacy skills as it will lead to success in
their University (Cottrell, 2019). It could occur in both males and females. Some of the
evidences states that women are less self-assured in comparison to men. It has been observed that
most female worry more about their appearance, and show concern about being less liked rather
than concentrating on studies, such practice make them less confident and they feel
underestimated. On the other hand, male usually do not doubt themselves and overestimate their
skills, thus, has been consider more confident than female.

3. The impact of EAP study on the academic experiences of international post graduate students
in Australia.
EAP refers to employee assistance program. The prior aim of this particular program is to
improve communication level of students and help them to develop important academic skills.
However, the international post graduate students in Australia has learned a lot from this
particular study program (Demir and et.al., 2017). It has been observed that the former students
of EPA when compared to the non EPA students were more confident with their speaking as well
as learning abilities and strongly recommended the program for overall personality as well as
academic development.
4. The influence of Personality on HE Students' confidence in their academic abilities.
Personality plays a significant role on higher education students as it helps to develop
confidence in order to develop self communication skills (Musick and Ray 2016). Confidence of
HE students can be examined through their personality grades and traits. Such factors could
include openness, extraversion, agreeableness and so on. The person with more negative
thoughts tend to have less confidence when compared to such individual who maintains positive
aura around them. Individual Learning Profile (ILP) scale, could be use to measure the level of
confidence of HE students. Thus personality is the reason for developing confidence in higher
education students.
