Data Management
Executive Summary
This portrayal is more to be contemplated and dissected to distinguish the fundamental examples
and patterns that will be recreated in reality too. This allows humans to be able to control the
situation and also predict it to some extent. An ideal situation is one when the next course of
actions can be predicted and accounted for. This report deals with data management and analyses
a case report of the New Zealand Cat Strategy. This case report is a countywide policy for
controlling the population of Cats in New Zealand and promoting people to adopt them.
Ultimately, the sole aim of the policy is to decrease the populace of stray or feral cats in a
humane way that does not involve euthanizing them.
The objective of this report is to recognize and predict the problems that can be caused due to
entity resolution and identifier management. The report reviews data management in context to
its two parts: reference data management and master data management. It is a common practice
to consider master data and reference data synonymous as a result their differences have been
briefly enlisted. Next focus of the report is on entity resolution and identifier management. They
have been discussed and the issues apparent in the case report has been pointed out.

Data Management
Introduction
Data is collective terms for facts and statistical information about a particular entity. Data
management is the activity of managing this data so that it can be up to date and can closely
represent the real situation. The process involves other activities through which the data is
verified, analyzed, collected, stored and protected. As data forms the basis of most important
decisions and action in the world today, it is essential to safeguard it so that it can be used only
by authorized personnel and only for the purpose of betterment. The policymakers of the case
report had to go through the process in order to establish a strategy so that it will be able to
counter the population of cats and achieve an ideal situation. The policy involves the set of
actions that will be undertaken and could not have been decided if they were not backed by
appropriate data.
Context of the case study
The case report is the national policy for managing the rising cat population through promoting
adoption and other humane ways of management. The literature in the document aims to guide
the citizens through an understanding of their ecology and environment in context with the
impact of cats. It asserts that cats are sentimental beings that are able to feel pain and pleasures
and therefore their management needs to be in a way that causes them minimal distress. The
earlier strategies mostly focused on lethal medication or treatments that may have been able to
achieve the requirement but were not permanent or up to the standards of the community.
Another key initiative was neutering, through which the cats were de-sexed and prevented from
reproducing. This is a more stable and long-term effect. However, it can only be practiced on
adopted cats. However, there is a restriction on the number of cats a person can keep on their

In any organization or group or scenario, there is some key information that is available to all the
involved parties and there is other information that is guarded and can be accessed by some
members. The differences in information and their guarding procedures are because they are
controversial and liable for the growth or downfall of an organization. In other cases, information
