The idea behind learning and teaching has continued to be the same which idealizes
the condition among the students and considers them as receptacles. However, there
are many intrinsic and extrinsic factors that govern the ability of the learner to assimilate
information provided. The extrinsic factors cannot be resolved and the learners had to
do with a universally chosen environment. However, they may opt for online learning
classes that are more personal, self-paced and the trainee is able to control their
environment. Intrinsic factors such as prior knowledge is essential to be considered and
the trainees to be priory credited to ensure that the training provided can be understood
by them or not. Cognitive learning process will be preferable in such a situation as the
trainees will play an active role in their learning, interpret the learning on their own and
use it for their own benefit (Waters & Craske, 2016). This learning process allows them
to be able to implement their learning which will motivate themselves to learn more.
Topic #2
The greatest motivation to avail training is to implement the learning in respective
profession and be able to develop through it. In accordance to the theory of experiential
learning, my motivation is to gain continuous development and be able to better the
organization and my life through application. According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,
the greatest need for a man is self-actualization, the training will help me realize and
fulfill my worth (Bridgman, Cummings & Ballard, 2019). Extrinsic factors like money and
luxury is a desired outcome of the development process
