this, it also ensures that proper controlled is gained over the data stored. The report has also
explained the importance of serverless architecture.
The major benefits that are achieved with serverless architecture are that it eradicates
the need for focusing on resource provision and helps the user to focus entirely on deploying
and writing the code. However, the enterprises are developing an approach for building the
application that is not totally free. It is expected that the gaming companies will embrace the
multi-cloud, edge computing strategies, and multi-CDN. This will ensure a better way of
limiting the costs. The report has included the major details about Oman's IT infrastructure so
that proper analysis can be made. However, it is expected that Oman is going to launch its
national strategy for enhancing the IT infrastructure. The developed architecture will entirely
provide a better society that will be fully digitized. Apart from this, the IT infrastructure
becomes important for having proper control over the infrastructure. This also includes an
effective IT governance policy along with the IT risk management framework so that it can
ensure better support towards the IT infrastructure of the country. Thus from this, report it
can be stated that Oman has developed the country's ability to move towards a private cloud
system.
Introduction
The main aim of having a better IT infrastructure is that it ensures better visibility and
control over the assets maintained within the IT section. IT Infrastructure acts as a central
nervous system that is responsible for confirming efficient services towards the users. Once
the user has complete visibility regarding the hardware and software maintained it becomes
easy to maintain the work within the network. The major components of IT infrastructure
include effective computer hardware platforms for better management of client machines and
server machines. This also includes modern mainframes that are generated by IBM. In
addition to this blade servers are ultrathin servers that are mainly intended for single and

dedicated applications, and are being mounted with space-saving racks. This report aims to
describe whether Oman's IT infrastructure is ready for migrating towards the private cloud or
not. From the article, it can be stated that with the enhancement of technology advancement
networking, cloud and computing can be increased efficiently. This will ensure the proper
improvement of the operations and will ensure that the organization is able to meet business
goals for the year. The report will also describe the need for storing the data gathered.
However, it is, observed there is a huge demand for private clouds within Oman's IT
infrastructure.
As per the IDC report, most of the companies have aimed to move their server to a
private cloud or non-cloud environment. Thus this report will focus on the infrastructure
maintained by Oman's IT infrastructure. Moreover in this report describes new ways in
which the technologies can be implemented within the Oman's infrastructure. The report also
focuses on the importance of having multiple e-commerce providers so that it becomes easy
to choose the infrastructure.
In addition to this, it is expected that a serverless approach will have a proper
application and will be developed based on pay as you go computing model. This will offer
better performance towards the application. It is expected that in the year 2019, micro service
will be implemented by startups and enterprises. The aim behind the growth of microservices
over the years is the distributed nature offered by the infrastructure. It is observed that there is
a rise in the PaaS tools and the adoption of DevOps. This leads to better flexibility towards
the organization and will ensure the critical use of the technology.
Background of Oman’s IT infrastructure
With the growing technology and need of people information and communication
technology has become one of the important pillars that will provide a better development
towards the nation. Thus it is important for Oman to ensure that they have an efficient
architecture. However, Oman has launched its national strategy for IT that aims at developing
a society that will be fully digitized. This will ensure better automation of government
services in every sector. This automated government will offer a better digital society towards
the business, citizens, and residents. The IT infrastructure has developed several strategies for
enhancing and improving the business strategies adopted by Oman. This will offer a more
competitive and transparent way of managing the resources. The main aim of Oman is to
create an effective government community citizen infrastructure that will provide better

public services towards the country. Apart from this, the National information committee of
Oman has created a set up in the year 1998 for achieving a better nation with proper e-
government initiatives. This committee was basically headed by the minister of the national
economy. However, the national IT strategy was being launched in November 2002 and was
followed by an implementation plan. For the betterment of information technology within
Oman. Moreover, the Oman Information technology infrastructure has also included major
cybersecurity governance guidelines that will enable a better way of managing the risks.
The IT infrastructure manages the role effectively and improves the process within the
network. The main aim is to ensure that all publications can enable proper uniform
governance. Thus it ensures that proper guidance is provided at the time of developing Oman
IT infrastructure. In addition to this Oman has also the IT governance charter for providing
better implementation guidance towards the IT policy. Moreover it becomes important to
have a proper IT governance policy that will ensure proper implementation of IT
infrastructure within Oman.
There are several IT risk management framework that helps in providing better
support towards the IT infrastructure of the country. Moreover, the country can move towards
a private cloud system. The private cloud will ensure better storage towards the data related
to the government. As the Oman infrastructure is highly developed with proper rules and
regulation it will become easier to implement the private cloud. The benefit that will be
achieved is that it offers better growth of data as compared to the public cloud. It is expected
that the private cloud will offer better flexibility, strong security and guarantees proper
resources at the time of development of IT infrastructure. Moreover, it is better for Oman to
adopt private cloud computing as it will ensure better growth within less amount of time.
Apart from this, the IT infrastructure will be beneficial if it adapts to serverless architecture.
After analysing Oman's infrastructure it can be stated that they are highly aware of the main
policies that will affect the working of the country. Thus it will be beneficial for the country
if they adapt serverless architecture.
Nation IT infrastructure implemented by Oman
In order to obtain better benefits while using cloud technology within the country, the
ITA has initiated a project G- Cloud. This shares the IT infrastructure that is being
established or providing IT requirements towards the other government within Oman. In
addition to this, there is a particular framework maintained by Oman for e-Governance. This

is basically a set of standards that ensure better practices and processes for managing the
system within the government. This ensures the enhancement of government services in
correspondence to the mission of Oman. The framework has included rules and procedures
for providing better sustainability towards the government IT systems and projects. E-
Tendering has established a centralized state for ensuring management and system processes
within Oman's IT infrastructure. This will ensure that proper achievement is gained with high
efficiency and enhancement. These will also ensure that better accuracy is maintained for
managing the costs. Moreover, it becomes important to ensure that e-tendering ensures proper
preparation and evaluation of online tenders. The government network of Oman is
completely based on the telecommunication infrastructure that is used for interconnecting all
the government entities. This aims in supporting the e-Government initiatives and to
ultimately improve public services.
After understanding the IT infrastructures it can be stated that serverless architecture
will ensure better growth and reliability. The national data centre was being created to have
proper control over the security framework. This generates a centralized respiratory for
storing all the critical information and will also provide critical IT applications for managing
data. The main IT infrastructure component includes the official Oman e-government service
portal. This portal is mainly developed for citizens so that they can access the government
related information and services online. These services will notify each citizen about the
rights and the schemes that are available for them. In addition to this, there is a navigation on
portal site that helps in simplifying the events through the effective delivery model.
Current situation of Oman’s IT infrastructure
The vision of Oman's IT infrastructure is to transform the Sultanate of Oman into an
efficient sustainable knowledge society. This is being achieved by focusing on information
and communication technologies. In addition to this Oman has developed society and human
capital development with the help of IT skilled citizens. Around 56,123 citizens are being
trained on Digital literacy after the program has been launched. In addition to this 60 more
job opportunities have been developed. The vision of royal directives includes providing
better support towards the people and society committee, ensuring better economy and
development of the committee, and generating national conference team. For the
implementation of the aforesaid royal directive, effective committees were formed that
ensures that proper target is being met by the Oman 2040. The country has held around 200

vision workshop, 30 scenarios workshop and 50 indicators workshop for ensuring the better
working of the people within the IT sector. Around 3040 Oman initiative was performed by
Oman in order to enhance the IT infrastructure.
After analysing the current condition of the IT infrastructure of Oman it can be stated
that it is ready to move to serverless computing, private cloud, and microservices. The Oman
I infrastructure is developed with high technologies for providing a better future towards the
country. They already have better facilities and infrastructure that ensures better working of
the country. It is observed that effective results are obtained by moving towards the private
cloud. The infrastructure will be beneficial if they move their system to a private cloud as the
data displayed in the private cloud grows better than that of the public cloud. Moreover, the
organization of Oman could implement the concept of private cloud as it will ensure major
benefits and will improve the market value. However, it is observed that the public cloud
offers better maturity and control over data as compared to private clouds.
However moving towards the private cloud is a better option for IT infrastructure as it
offers better growth and huge flexibility. On the other hand, it is expected that with the
implementation of new infrastructure in 2019 will offer huge benefit. The migration from
serveries architecture to serverless will ensure that there is no need for resources provisions
and will allow the development team focuses entirely on developing the code. However,
there are some issues faced at the time of traffic management that will get resolved with
proper maintenance of the system. On the other hand, the cloud server keeps on working that
leads to latency problems. However, once Oman’s IT infrastructure aims at implementing the
serverless approach than they will need to implement ways for applying pay as you go
architecture for maintaining consistency within the architecture and will ensure that better
performance is provided by the organizations within the country. The reason behind choosing
new architecture for Oman’s IT infrastructure is that it offers better enrolment policies. This
ensures that people are being trained in a way that they can adapt with the technology. It is
expected that the organization of Oman will follow the suit for enhancing their services.
The IT industry within Oman has implemented several start-ups for embracing the
microservices. The reason behind having a Microservices is that it has gained huge popularity
over the past few years. This is because the distributed nature of infrastructure ensures a
better rise is gained with the use of PaaS tools which make the approach more accessible.
This ensures better flexibility within the IT infrastructure of the organization and can adapt to

critical technology demand. Apart from all this, it is expected that gaming companies within
the Oman country to embrace the multi-cloud strategies. In addition to this, a better e-
Commerce infrastructure will ensure a better benefit towards the retail department of Oman.

The working phase of Oman is related to the main committees’ decision. These also
include the sectoral committee and the subjects are being further approved.
• In the year 2016-2017 the national priorities alignment of strategies committee framework
is being developed that ensures better engagement of the functions.
• In January 2017, the government of Oman obtained approval for visitor’s pillars and
subjects.
• In March 2017 the sectoral and quality committees of Oman started their mission for the
betterment of Oman and worked for achieving the vision.
• In August Oman data preparation and collection took place.
• In October, the issues related to vision was identified along with determining the current
situations.
• By the end of 2017, the future of foresight and preparation of future scenarios took place.
• The strategic objectives and directions were identified in mid-2018.
• By March 2018, Oman vision 2040 has launched initiatives for effective communications
and social participation.
• By the first quarter of 2019, the final vision of Oman was created and got formulated
effectively.

From the above report, it can be stated that the infrastructure of Oman is ready to
adapt with 2019 infrastructure implications. The infrastructure of Oman is ready to
implement proper significant changes within the IT infrastructure. The country has already
developed a better way of managing the infrastructure and the ability to get back to the
private cloud, and serverless computing. This will provide better benefits for Oman’s
infrastructure. The report has described the basic IT infrastructure maintained by Oman and
the way it ensures better facilities towards the government. However, after analyzing the
reports it can be stated that the new changes and innovation will improve the infrastructure
