Scenario 1
1. The students can be involved in group discussions, where they would interact with the
students from the other cultures. Involving the colleagues in the discussions would be
beneficial for expanding the horizons of the thought processes. This explorative
approach would be assistance in studying about the languages, customs and values of
other cultures1. Assessing the approach of the students and colleagues would be
effective in valuing the diversity.
2. Inclusive work practices in schools includes variation in the instructional methods,
easy access to academic curricular content universal design for learning among others.
Surveys can be conducted on the students and the colleagues for gaining feedbacks.
Infusing Data Protection Act (1998) and Ethical Code of Conduct would be fruitful
for assessing the cultural competence of the actions2. Assurance is needed in terms of
gaining trust, loyalty and dependence.
Scenario 2
1. I would explain Linda that people are not same. They belong to different socio-
cultural backgrounds, which reflects the differentiation in the class, race, colour and
religion. I will also tell her that in order to stay in the workplace, she needs to adjust
with the African girl. Giving her example would be fruitful for convincing her.
