Discussion
Bakerzin is going to enter the Chinese market by first penetrating into Shenzhen, the
Silicon Valley of China. Shenzhen should be considered the Silicon Valley of China
primarily because; till date the region has been successful in showing those particular trends
that are essential to have to be termed as a technology hub. Shenzhen has depicted a
combination of developing skill sets accompanied by growth velocity, perfect infrastructure,
ideal location, and needed funding (Konieczny, 2017). Moreover, it must be taken into
account that, “Shenzhen got its economic start by manufacturing products for foreign
companies but quickly used its knowledge acquired from experience to start building its own
economy. The city has grown not only as a manufacturer but as an authority for innovation”
(Konieczny, 2017). Furthermore, it must be noted that gradually surpassing the popularity of
the Silicon Valley, Shenzhen is now gradually emerging as a technology hub that has the
potential to draw attention of many of today’s technological leaders who are getting inclined
towards making Shenzhen their headquarters (Konieczny, 2017). Key players in the
technology industry like Huawei, Tencent, BGI, ZTE, etc have already made Shenzhen their
home, and such constitution has justified the claim that Shenzhen is the Silicon Valley of
China.
As Bakerzin is entering the Chinese market through stepping into Shenzhen, it must
be able to utilize technology at the utmost in order to bring about growth and development in
the business. The advanced technological environment of Shenzhen is going to be very
helpful for the business in terms of developing apps that would help consumers in easily
reserving tables and enjoying discounts on foods and drinks. While operating in Shenzhen,
Bakerzin would get the scope of meeting credible technology key players with whom it can
set up collaboration for developing the respective app. Moreover, the management of
Bakerzin must consider the fact that implementation and incorporation of advanced

technology is imperative for the growth and development of any business. It is also a fact that
“With the automated processes that technology can provide, productivity reaches a higher
level. This is due to the minimal resources consumed in processing business activities,
allowing room for better products produced and faster services delivered to more clients and
customers” (America’s SBDC Oklahoma, 2015). And the development of a successful app
would be a part of reaping the benefits of implementing technology in the right way.
Hence, while operating within Shenzhen, Bakerzin should implement effective
strategies that would help the business in infusing advanced technologies to reach more
consumer segments and to ensure more inflow of revenue.
