This policy was founded in 1909 and its goal is recovery for all. According to this policy, people should be asked what they need to live the lives that they want and what will ensure that they get there. moreover, according to this policy, individual with mental illnesses can recover when they get the necessary support. The objectives of the policy include prevention for all, early identification and intervention, treatment for those who need it and finally recovery as the goal. The Mental Health care policy is among the best in the world compared to the United States. The residents of Swiss receive a broad and comprehensive coverage for all residents including the one with mental health issues. The Swiss policy ensure that there are appropriate mental health care services, many metal health care facilities and providers compared to the united states. Culture and Geopolitics Culture and Geopolitics have an impact on mental health. The diversity in different cultures and backgrounds affects an individual’s mental health through various experiences. First, cultural diversity affects the ways in which individual describe their symptoms whether emotional or physical. An individual may decide whether the describing the symptom is ‘‘culturally appropriate’’ in a way that it won’t reflect badly on them. Moreover, culture also influence how individual will cope with mental illnesses. Some cultures will prefer visiting a psychiatrist, psychologist, clergy while other would prefer visiting a traditional healer. Geopolitics also has an impact on mental health.
