INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is defined as the activity and concept of commitment as well as
demonstration of honesty and morality in behaviour in the process of doing academic work.
There are various factors are included such as cheating, academic misbehaviour, plagiarism and
academic misconduct. These misconducts are done in the workplace or in the class which is
identifies by managers and teachers. It is related to the university level as it gives the credit to
other people through using someone idea (Broad, 2019). It is mostly seen in educational
institutions that are conducted for the purpose of attaining specific mission and objectives. In this
report introduction and importance of academic integrity is discussed. Apart from that, various
implications of academic integrity and various difficulties that are faced during production of
game as well as different skills and competencies that are required to making a game is covered
in this project report.
TASK
Description of academic integrity
The concept of academic integrity is important for the both universities and students. It is
related to the voidance of misconduct and plagiarism that is conducted by the students in their
academic work or by the employees at workplace. As the plagiarism is related to the copy the
work of someone else and doing the academic misconduct. The concept of academic integrity is
related to enhance the honesty as well as well being of students in order to reduce the activity of
copying other works (Degn, 2020). It motivates students to perform their own work with
honesty. There are various examples such as students are responsible for writing their assignment
or report which must not be the copy of other work and information form other sources as well.
It facilitates the student to submit their original work with honesty.
Importance of academic integrity
Academic integrity plays important role in the student as well as university work. It facilitates he
students to submit their work with honestly on the other hand, it helps universities to build
effective reputation in country. As student provides honest and true knowledge in their work that
reflects that they are responsible towards their work and respected university (hook, Lee and
Kim, 2020). There are various actions are taken by the University that ensures that student’s
work in not copy of others work and make sure that the work is submitted with honesty. If the
