INTRODUCTION Functional areas means different functions in an organisation that are important to perform in order to complete the project and attain profitability. In an organisation management is responsible for all activities as they have power to allocate the work between employees (Aggarwal and Wu, 2019). The current report is about case study of John who is 21 years old little and having less work experience. This person has decided to buy local company name is IOM Electronics Ltd that helps to generate money. There is ned to perform or manage different functions effectively which provides higher profitability. The report covers different function areas in relation to business. MAIN BODY 2.0 Business A business is defined as organization and enterprises in which number of employees are engaged to work and earning the money by producing and selling the goods and services. The aim of business is to decide goals and perform the activities for completing it properly. There are different types of business operating by management that should be properly managed as it helps to attain the productivity and profits(Li and et.al., 2019). 3.0 What is Functional areas of business The meaning of functional areas of business is collection of functions and activities which are needed to complete on time and managed the work properly. This involves team of employees who have similar skills and expertise to develop the business performance. The organisational functions are performing by individual who are involved in activities and get competitive advantages. 4.0 The key functional areas of a business In a business there are many key functional areas such as marketing, strategy, human resources, technology, information technology, and operation that can help to increase the business performance and attain the objectives effectively. 5.0 Description of the various functional areas in business organizations In business industry, management should be focus on different functional areas that relates to business and activities for the purpose of developing the functions and attaining competitive advantages. In relation to IOM Electronic Ltd, owner is focusing on all function and recruit the best employees who can work in dynamic environment effectively. The different functions are explained below: 5.1 Marketing: A marketing function is specialised activity which use by organisation to promote their products and services. The aim behind using marketing function is to increase the sales and profitability by influencing number of customers. This is essential function in each industry as it maintain the good relation between employer and customers through providing right information regarding particular products and services. If there is no marketing then it will be difficult for organisation to manage their business and increase the sales.
