INTRODUCTION
The concept of supportive significant life event is a study about individuals who are facing
the significant life event after losing their loved ones and or by their personal belongings.
All these suffers are termed as the bereavement. This essay is about to prospect the society
for individuals to pay attention towards them in order to cope up the for such misfortune that
are faced be them. This varies from person to person and enhance the feeling of grief in
them. In this report there two cases are mentioned that in which individuals are losing their
loved ones. In first case Jane has passed away in 84 years old, who was leaving in the small
sheltered house with Sue. They are engaged in various outdoor activities such as gardening
and talking with others. In the other case Sandra lost her husband and face the grief. In this
report various impacts of life events at different ages and on family, friends are being
discussed. Different external voluntary and agencies that support individuals are being
covered in this project report. At the last part reflection of individuals suffering from their
life event is covered.
TASK 1
P1 Discuss the impact of expected and unexpected significant life events on individuals at
different ages and stages
Individuals who face very hard time and suffering through deep pain or some tough moments
due to losing some one special or some special thing, who is lovable for them. All these
individuals are known as the Bereavement. It is also termed as individuals facing life events.
Each and every misfortune that is faced by the person that make numeric changes in the mood of
that individual as the particular condition. In the case of Jane and Sundra both are facing
different life events suffered from that deeply (Bellet, Neimeyer, and Berman, 2018). These life
events affect them in various manner and leave the impact on their lives. There are various
negative impacts on the life of human being of these life events such as depression, stress as well
as grief. When someone face these bereavement and problems in their life different changes are
measured in their physical body, mental health as well as affect them socially. Some of impacts
are discussed below:

Physical impacts: A feeling of pain and grief leave great impact on the physical body of
the Jane and Sundra who are facing such pain to loss husband. The pain impact on the physical
health of these ladies and it is not easy for them to overcome the pain early. Because of pain the
individual is not able to take enough sleep. It is required to take medical treatment in that
situation in order to avoid anxiety and stress.
Social impact: Comparatively less changes are happened in the life of bereavement’s life, but it
is very important to collect all changes that are take place because of a specific life event and
make efforts to improve them with having proper support (Cvetković,2020). To the Sundra and
Jane, their life event affects them but proper support of family, friends and loved one help them
to cope-up with all these grief and problems.
Bereavement-act as Rollercoaster: An emotional and unconditional feelings are raised in
the individual that face all the problems and they act like a rollercoaster because of these motions
are getting changed due to changes in the various circumstances. In the case of Sundra and Jane,
they become the numb and mourns, like Sundra do not want to accept the death of her husband
and behave accordingly. In such situation individual do not know how to react or they become
still. In some situation they act as a numb, as not show any type of emotions by weeping. In the
first case the Jane do not react towards her decease and enjoy the life events on the other hand
Sundra do not accept the death of her husband that affects her whole life.
P2 Discuss the impact of different significant life events on the individual’s family, friends and
wider social networks
Bereavement is a problem for an individual and is treated differently by family, friends,
their loved one along with society. When a person loses their loved one, they get moral support
only by their family member. This moral support is work only when there are good bonding and
communication between members of family along with sharing of positive vibes. When an
individual is affected through life event, family members also plays important roles in same way
as doctors and nurse for social care (Fiteni, 2017). There can be a problem with individual who
does not get support from their family members in this type of situation. In context of cases
families and friends support Jane and Sundra to cope up with their grief, drive their attention
towards different things. There are
different type for support system by different group provided to Bereavement which are as
follows:
