Induction booklet
As the Recruitment Manager in the Grand Hotel situated in Martin Place at Sydney, I
need to prepare an induction booklet for the newly introduced staffs in the hotel (El-Shamy
2016). The information that needs to be there in the induction booklet is primarily about the
induction activities with their respective durations and deadlines. An Induction program must
have suggested and recommended activities planned by the higher authorities of the organization
with the consent of assistant managers and attendants (Suhag 2017). The activities are generally
planned for up to 5 days program but keeps the backup plan of implementing more events related
to the primary event in the near future. This information should be included that the activities in
the booklet are subjected to be flexible but are printed with the estimated timelines (Augustine-
Shaw 2015). Before inducing any information it has to be kept in mind that the employees who
are attending the meeting re fresh to the organization and would really understand the company’s
intriguing policies. It is better to wrap up in a nutshell the main objectives making them
understand the basic job roles and responsibilities and prepare the task agenda accordingly. More
information that can be added in the booklet of induction is the guidelines for the roles namely,
dry (Choi 2016). It includes drinking alcohol in the workplace can cause harmful impacts on the
worker’s health as it can impair the physical balance and audio visual sensations. It can disturb
the mental condition, stability of focusing to work and staying alert. A person who is under the
dosage pf alcohol is prone to meet an accident in workplace premises and can cause harm to
others as well (Boella 2017). The information should include about the company and business
policies in a very brief note. The leaves and holidays the employees are eligible for. The
probation period they would be kept for and the benefits they are addressed to should all be
mentioned in the booklet. The details of the company, blanks should be there for filling up the

employee details are mandatory to be included. The company policy regarding dress codes
should be mentioned and the hierarchy of the organization structure, its culture and office
timings and shift details should be included on the priority basis (Acquah 2015).
