Introduction
This report is a reflection of the capstone business management course undertaken by the
researcher. In the initial part of the report, the researcher provides a detailed summary of the
reflective capability that has been gained by him as an outcome of attending this business
administration course. This section also incorporates a reflection on the learning experiences
throughout the course and a personal commentary regarding the effectiveness of the learning
outcomes that have been achieved by the researcher. The reflection in this section incorporates
the skill developments lie knowing, being and doing and their benefits in the career development
of the researcher. In the next part of the same section the researcher reflects the competence
that he have been able to gain as an outcome of the four essential capstone skill development.
the next section encompasses a reflection on the learning from the capstone subject as well as a
detailed personal analysis of the consultancy research program undertaken by him. The personal
skills developed by then researcher as an outcome of undergoing the overall MBA program have
also been articulated. The researcher have also discussed in the report regarding how the skills
that he highlighted, will be beneficial for the future career endeavours.
Summary of reflective capabilities in learning
Integration of theory as well as practice helps in the learning outcome of the elements of
Administration, in the MBA capstone course. The business capstone is a course which
synthesizes knowledge and exhibits business relevance, strongly emphasising on strategy. After
the end of the subject, analysing the project learning, it can be accessed that the students to
demonstrate a sound strategic mind set. I also feel that the capstone course helps in integration of
functional knowledge required for working in an organisation and problem solving in the
working atmosphere. The practical learning sessions of business capstone helps the students to

acquire skills for understanding the big picture, consider various perspectives before decision
making and lastly developed in leading capacities as well as developing the abilities of becoming
business manager. The capstone project undoubtedly helps to develop some of the biggest
competencies required in the modern workplaces in terms of business management. Weissbach
et al. (2017), describe current day in the future the most significant components that is required
in the workplace is the ability for solving new as well as poor structural flaws in complex
business environment. In this context, the KDB model of learning can be emphasized. Analysis
of the learning outcomes of the MBA capstone module using this model helps in understanding
the significance of this course for the students. This theory shows that knowing, doing and being
are activities which focus on three different perspectives. In the first place knowing
acknowledges the theories as well as methods needed for successful managerial execution.
Doing refers to real life application of theoretical expertise in the problematic situations where
exemplary leadership is required and lastly being emphasizes on the personal values as well as
goals including self-reflection.
The learning accomplished as a part of this capstone model also incorporates the four capstone
skills. These are theoretical skills, practical skills, reflective skills as well as applied skills. In this
context it can be reflected that the theoretical skills developed during the capstone course help
students like us to reflect on our capability of understanding the interdependencies as well as
complexities related to real life business situations so that we are convicted about capability of
undertaking better business decisions. The theoretical skills developed during the course helps in
understanding the relevance of the important business management theories.
The applied skills help students like us to understand the way in which business curriculum helps
in developing overall performance of the organisation. The theoretical skills help us to reflect on

our knowledge of of various business management models and after learning applied skills we
will be able to link theory with real time practices and thereby gain better knowledge regarding
the interconnectedness of the various components in a company.
A significant part of the applied skills is the applied integration skills which helps us as well as
the business managers to identify the feasible reasons for the positive or negative performance of
a company, rather than only e believing what is perceived by others as the the one particular
cause behind it.
The third skill that is the practical skills helps the students to combine the theoretical skills as
well as applied skills so that they can implement their knowledge in practical managerial
situations and reason about how to resolve strategic issues in a company. This kind of skills is
mainly needed for adopting to business situations with tailor-made decisions for the current
challenge your problem.
In fact after learning practical skills, we were able to who applied the knowledge as well as
analytical skills in multiple business contexts and challenges. For evidence we could apply them
to the context of the global financial crisis. The same skills where all supplied by us for
analysing the digital disruption in business or in case of natural disaster management also.
The professional approach of this course is revealed in the practical application of the learning
outcome of all the four business capstone skills.
The last skill that we developed in the capstone projects where’s the reflective skill which help
us in integration of new information for contemplating on the relevance as well as significance of
previous knowledge. It is evident that the development of strategic mind-set was the most
beneficial outcome of this capstone course.

thinking, reflection as well as reframing.
Learning from Capstone subject and consultancy research process
The capstone subject helps the students to demonstrate their mastery over the individual project
goals in their respective major or department. The subject provided us with the theoretical skills
which are applicable to selected business contacts and while undertaking the capstone projects
we had to implement the skills in order to provide real life solution to critical business problems
by understanding, analysing as well as contextualizing the theoretical knowledge to the provided
business situations. Teamwork as well as communication is also important skills that were
conveyed to us in our program in college (Thomas 2018). The analytical skills that we acquired
through the capstone subjects help us to ask questions while undergoing the project courses. In
our courses, we learnt how development of open ended questions towards the teammates can
help in communicating problems, provide solving ideas as well as reduce the Periphery of the
business issues. However, the most integral part of the learning accomplished from the capstone
subjects our problem serving as well as business research. The capstone experience of our
college was developed in such a way so that the students were unable to conduct independent
study of the business module. I must specify that the faculty advisor help us to understand
critical concepts from the subject act.

Knowledge about the captain subject helped in my respective research regarding the proposed
business problem which helped me to develop my capstone project and get a good tutor
feedback.
Other important outcome of the capstone subject includes internship as well as work experiences.
The consultancy capstone research is a significant part of the Business Administration degree
course. Discourse enabled us to form a team of students and demonstrate the skill as well as
knowledge regarding Consulting projects that we have gained in our subject classes. This
research was undertaken on a practical level in order to enhance the capstan concept. we had to
develop our analysis on the basis of case studies concerning small consultancy businesses and
deal with their real time experience as a part of the business administration degree (Watty et al.
2016). After analysis of the case studies we had to develop a comprehensive approach from the
perspective of the system of operations implemented by the organisation so as to help in
improvement of their performance as well as obtain sustainable outcomes. According to the ideas
of Lee and Kang (2019), this research project help us to enhance our analytical skills to a great
extent and thereby also use various elements of our unique experience of utilising skill and
knowledge to help any organisation identify their area of improvement, establish milestone as
well as identify plan for business development and lead the organisation towards success. The
research project provided us solid Foundation as well as experience in consultancy as well as
advocacy and coaching which requires delivery of valuable insight to clients organisations which
might help them to achieve their strategic objectives. Most critical cases are visible regarding the
non-profit organisations which lack human as well as physical resources for advertising

fundamental business skills of the students. The business administration program also delivers a
platform for development of a suite which is less tangible but highly valued come for evidence
experts’ time management as well as Holistic thinking.
The first outcome of MBA program is effective communication skill development.
Communication skills are very essential in maximum job roles that come to MBA students. The
students under the business administration program undertakes diverse category of tasks in
course of graduation that helps them in understanding of the complex business languages and
articulation of their personal ideas in the same language. The comprehensive knowledge is the
outcome of the large amount of reading they need to undergo for doing the projects that handle
during the courses. They have practiced application of their learning by developing succinct
assignment as well as communicating with the diverse student community which help them to
refine their communication style also. After the accomplishment of the MBA program students

as data analysis conducted during the course will help him to become proficient in providing

These set of skills will allow the students like me to render more value to their organisations with

approaches regarding specific facets of business.
Reflection of assistance of outcomes on future career Endeavour
The short time capstone projects help the students to implement what they have learnt in the
class. Firstly they help us in preparing us for the real life challenges. They help us in
understanding any possible challenge, loopholes all information gaps and thereby take the
ownership of the business situation and eventually come up with the most practical solution of
the problem. Only learning the theoretical concepts do not help us to prepare ourselves for the
situations and once the problematic situation is dealt with, we gain the confidence of facing any
search scenario in real life further on.
This is the perfect Learning Course for the entry level professionals. In case if an individual is
appointed at junior level or in any position of the marketing department with a mechanical job
role, but they are having the urge to take up more challenging role for projects in the company,
they will get those opportunity only by the virtue of higher educational capacitance or real life

well as certification that can help an individual candidate in such situation. I feel that after two or
three of the business capstone project I was equipped with the necessary skills which will enable
me to convince the seniors about my capability of handling challenging projects at the starting
phase of my career.
Thirdly, the business capstone projects also helped me to sharpen my research as well as
reasoning skills. I had to implement middle of analytical skills during the project work. The
processes like development of the financial models, online campaigns for undertaking the role of
data analysis for analysis of the business issues have helped me to develop efficient research
skills also. I learnt how to prioritise things and break down the big problem into small parts so
that it does not seem insolvent. I learnt to scrutinize the previous findings, identify trend as well
as extrapolate the outcomes which will help me to deal with any business situation in the future.
Nowadays, it is favourable for job applicant to specify the business capstone projects he or she
has done in order to get an upper hand in the recruitment process. Employers immediately have
the idea that a person having undergone that capstone project has significant conception about
enterprising and learning new skills. This gives them an impression that I am ready to undertake
challenging job roles in the organisation.
The capstone project will also help me to handle interviews as well as undergo case study with
convection. If I get placed in the HR department, the business capstone projects will still be
useful. I will find the maximum utility of the project in the interview process, since these
processes are not straightforward and involve many complications. Even as a candidate when I

acquired through our capstone projects.

This report highlights that the competency developed by the students by undergoing the
theoretical and practical learning process of the capstone projects has helped the researcher 2 to
develop specific set of skills that will be very helpful in advancement of career in the
management domain. The impact of the four essential capstone skills have been evident in this
report along with benefits of capstone research process. Besides, it has been established that
undergoing the capstone project has successfully enhanced the career scope for the researcher
that he has developed as an outcome of undergoing the business administration program.
