2Report and InterviewShould voting be compulsory?Introduction“Should voting be compulsory” is a debatable topic. Voting is the right of the citizen of the nation. The people of a nation elect their representative to run the nation peacefully and work towards the growth and development of the nation and the people as well. The representative of anation represents the nation in other countries. They are responsible for bringing all the necessary changes in the nation for the growth and development of the nation and its citizen. Therefore, there is a need of electing a representative who can perform his duty honestly and efficiently and effectively. If the representative of a nation is not good enough or not working forthe betterment of the nation the nation will go on the path of underdevelopment that may lead to crime and injustice in the nation. There is only one way to elect a representative and that is voting. But the matter is whether voting should be compulsory or not. The answer to the questionis yes voting should be compulsory. The people of the nation should also consider voting as theirright and duty towards the nation. What if not all the citizen are participating in voting and only afew are electing a representative who will govern the nation? If hundred mad voting in favor of amad and 10 intellectuals are voting in favor of a right candidate. Will the right candidate be considered a winner? No, the winner will be the mad person who will govern the intellectual. Now we can think that what will be the situation if a mad is governing the intellectuals? Therefore, every citizen of the nation must participate in the voting to elect a right candidate whohas the ability to run the nation in the right direction.
