Introduction
McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s is basically a company that focuses on the
production of fast food that is based in America. This company was founded in the year 1940 in
the form of a restaurant that was operated in the United States. In addition to this, the company is
the largest restaurant chain in the world on the basis of its revenue serving millions of customers
on a daily basis by meeting their needs and expectations. It is present in over hundred countries
with an estimate of 37,855 outlets. The company features mainly on the breakfasts, soft drinks,
chicken products wraps to name a few. The revenues of this company comes from the royalties,
rent along with the fees that is paid by various franchisees along with the sales in this particular
company which is operated by the restaurants (Rittinghouse, and Ransome 2017). The company
now aims to implement all its services and functions through the cloud based storage.
The aim of this report is to identify a solution for the implementation of cloud in this
company. The report also aims to address the requirements of the mentioned enterprise along
with evaluating the various possible solutions for the implementation of the cloud. The report
also aims to discuss the issues of ethics, maintenance, security and governance related to the
appropriate implementation of the cloud (Chang et al., 2016). The report also focuses for
presenting the recommendations regarding the appropriate implementation of the cloud.

Business process explanation/application
A business process is a bunch of the connected tasks which is able to find its route
towards the end in the process of delivery of a service or delivery of any sort of products to the
clients. It can also be described as the bunch of tasks as well as activities when completed will be
helpful in accomplishing the goals and aim of the organization. The company named McDonald
wants to execute its services and functions through the cloud storage. For this, the
implementation of cloud is required which is to be done (Hullavarad, O’Hare and Roy 2015). For
implementing the cloud in this enterprise in appropriate manner some requirements are play a
very important role and are very essential in implementation of the cloud in the enterprise.
First comes the service and the resource management under which all the components of
data centers are virtualized by the cloud infrastructure. In simple words, the service management
is the measured application package and the services that can be easily managed and deployed by
the end users utilizing a private or a public cloud vendor. Second comes the data center
management tools integration where various kinds of IT tools are utilized by the various data
centers for performing various tasks like the management of the systems, customer care, security,
billing and provision etc. to name a few (Gastermann et al., 2015). These work along with the
services of cloud management and open APIs for the integrating the existing operations,
maintenance, administration and the provisioning systems.
Next comes the reporting, reliability, security and visibility and visibility. A high level of
real-time visibility as well as reporting qualities are required by the data centers in the cloud
environment for promising the security compliance as well as billing etc. The infrastructures of

will allow the enterprise McDonald’s for selecting various web functions in place of a fully
blown application. The web-based application have the abilities of integrating with the various
parts of the business that is done by McDonald’s. The services based on web can be utilized for
easy processing of payroll as well as accounting (Kampas et al., 2016). The selection of
assortment of the web applications is allowed by the web-based services.
The other solution can be Software as a Service or SaaS which is mostly utilized area of
the cloud infrastructure as it helps in providing numerous access to the cloud tenants to a
particular application. Under this, a monthly subscription can be opened by anybody for the
products or services offered by the particular enterprise. The enterprise mentioned here is
McDonald. The next solution that can be evaluated is IaaS or infrastructure as a service which
involves basic requirements for the cloud and offers the enterprise for accessing the virtual
machines, various functions of the network mainly for storage space.
The ethical issues which are related with the cloud solution implementation is the easy
distribution of the confidential information of McDonald as an authorized person can upload it

which in turn can be downloaded by the other unauthorized users. By the implementation of the
cloud, personal details of other people can be accessed by the authorized users. The security
issues related to it is the risk of data breaches, hacking of the accounts and denial of service
attacks to name a few. The maintenance problems which are related to cloud solution
implementation is the security of the passwords, privacy of data etc. (Bildosola et al., 2015). The
governance drawbacks related with the cloud solution implementation is the management of
costs, lack of expertise as well as resources, management of numerous clouds and construction of
a private cloud.
Cloud deployment requirement
The cloud deployment indicates towards the empowerment of the various solutions which
are based on cloud like SaaS OR Software as a Service, PaaS or platform as a service or IaaS or
infrastructure as a service which are accessed as well as demanded by the consumers or the end
users. There is model for cloud deployment that indicates towards the category of architecture of
cloud computing for the implementation of the cloud solution (Erl, Cope and Naserpour 2015).
All necessary installations along with the steps of configuration are required by the cloud
deployment which should always be implemented before the occurrence of the user provisioning
which is required by McDonald.
The recommendations for appropriate implementation of the cloud would be the data
contained in the cloud should regularly be monitored so that hacking as well as the misuse of the
confidential data can be prevented. The details of the authorized users should always be checked
that when are they accessing and why are they accessing (Qumar 2015). In addition to this, the

access controls should be utilized by the providers of cloud. The controls should be described as
well as implemented by the providers of cloud for ensuring authorized access to data of clients.
Conclusion
From this report, it can be understood that the implementation of the cloud in the various
enterprises is an emerging trend and is very essential too. The requirements of enterprises like
McDonald’s for implementation of solution of cloud in an environment on a global scale has
been discussed in this report. The possible solutions for implementation of the cloud solution is
also evaluated in this report (Iyoob et al., 2017). The ethical, security, maintenance as well as
governance issues related to the implementation of the cloud solution in a global environment
has also been discussed in this report. The cloud deployment requirement has also been
discussed in this report.
