5. Fatigue Management Report
Introduction
The purpose of the report is to analyse the work-life balance and fatigue of the workers of the
company in Brisbane and Gold Coast location.
Fatigue analysis
The September time sheet shows that the human resource and the marketing department is
overworked. The human resource manager has worked for 180 hours which is a little higher than
regular hours and the marketing manager is working 190 hours a week, quite a bit of overtime. The
operations and administrating officer’s work hours are as per company policy. This does not meet the
company safety guidelines and the employees are unaware of the risks to their health and the
organization.
Problems associated with fatigue
Fatigue increases the chance of workplace accidents and injuries. It increases errors and
makes the workflow slower. Employee’s work life balance gets disrupted and employees become
dissatisfied and demotivated. This leads to employee absenteeism and turnover.
Signs of fatigue
Discuss signs of fatigue.
The general signs of fatigue are sleepiness, tiredness, feeling exhausted, weary and
unwillingness of work. This could also lead to memory lapses, difficulty in concentration and being
slower in reacting.
