Introduction
In this report, there will be a discussion about a business trip to Houston, Texas. The
objective of this trip is to set a small coffee shop. This trip was conducted by a start-up group
and 4 people visited on this trip in order to search for a happening place for a coffee shop. In
this report, the activity conducted on this trip includes the search for a place for rent, coffee
setup, government regulations of the state, etc.
Discussion
The main motive of this trip is to incorporate a basic coffee shop set up in a
happening location with fascinating marketing ideas to attract youngsters. This is the start-up
business idea and all the things including rent of the premises, travel expenses, coffee
machine, expenses on marketing, etc. should all be conducted in the prescribed budget of
$10,000. However, by analysing suitable locations it is conducted that the rent of the
premises is high in Houston. As, minimum rent for 100sq ft shop starts from $1500 excluding
electricity. At the end of the trip, it is analysed that the group has to increase its budget by
$1000 to $1500 in order to conduct operations in an effective and efficient way (Kingsnorth,
2019). Apart from this, marketing of the company can incur minimum expenses if start-up
put their complete focus on the norms of digital marketing instead of marketing through
pamphlets or hoardings or television promotion (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019).

It is concluded that the rent of the premises will incur major expenses and the start-up group
should focus on digital marketing promotion.
