Systems engineering body of knowledge, also known as
SEBOK, has created a conceptual model called the system
engineering concept model. The purpose of this model is
to help the managers of project, programs and portfolios in
the various activities of a project and also find the various
concepts which are related to the SEBOK. It does so by
creating concept maps. The System Engineering Concept
Model or SECM provided us with ways to find the coverage
and consistencies of engineering concepts over a broader
set. It also helps in communicating them for better
understanding.
A system methodology is regarded as the structural
and systematic procedure that is followed for solving a
problem successfully and getting solutions for the project,
portfolios and program management activities. These
procedures can be of different types like product
development, software development, project management
and so on.
System engineering is one such methodology for
problem solving which is designed for solving complex
technical problems and system configuration. Since its
development, it has successfully solved a lot of problems
and has a lot of practical applications. Its function includes
complexity structuring, integral comprehension, problem
solving by object oriented methods and tools.
The concept map or concept model was initially
developed to integrate concepts, mapping and models and
