1RISING ISSUES OF FIRE
Fire due to Electrocution and other Issues
The previous assignments discussed about the emerging issues of fire that have risen in its
magnitude in the recent time due to various factors like electrocution, accidents breaking out
due to the various electrical issues and other such relevant factors. The assignment
highlighted about the various statistics that revealed that maximum number of the accidents
sue to the outbreak of fire have accounted to the accidents that have broken out in the
dwellings of large families or the other residential buildings with the highest number of
accidents breaking out in the residential buildings. This factor can be attributed to the various
techniqual errors and rising pressures of population sue to the unprecedented level of urban
conglomeration (Serubiri, 2019).
The second fact in the previous assignment has furnished the information that most of the
accidents occurring due to fire have occurred mainly in the winter months of December to
February. This can be attributed to the failure of the electrical appliances like heaters in the
residential dwellings and other such errors induced by man (Maano & Lindiwe, 2017),The
intensity of the fire outbreaks is more in the winter months because during these months of
the year, the weather remains sufficiently dry which results in the outbreak of fires in the
forests causing massive havoc. The best example of this scenario is the tremors that were felt
in the recent outbreak of the bushfires that occurred in Australia causing a heavy loss millions
of animal and plant life in this region (Mosetter, 2016).
The outbreak of this fire has been attributed to the natural factors like the forest fires.
However, it can be also partly attributed to the man-made factors. The increased level of
pollution, the factors like deforestation have resulted in the above havoc (Williams, Hamid, &
Misnan, 2017). The anthropogenic factors were evident even after the outbreak of fire when
the administration failed to deal with the severity with the incident that took a million lives’

update on the use of the safety glass mechanism rather hen the traditional old glasses which is
commonly used by most of the households (Cheruiyot, 2017).Apart from ensuring safety in the
houses and the industries, there should also be adequate safety standards that should be
adopted in the modern residences.
At the next part of the assignment, I had highlighted about the severity of the injuries and the
losses that have occurred due to the electrocution and the other factors. The main cause of the
injuries caused by electrocution can be attributed to the high voltage lines that have passed
from most of the neighborhoods in any urban region (Austin, 2018).
The accidents in most of the cases occurring due to electrocution are not dealt with
properly because many people cannot understand the root cause of the outbreak of such a
problem as a result of its complexity. The complexity of these accidents lies in its individual
claim structure that rises from the negligence of man in the given environmental settings. The
effects of these fire outbreaks can be both natural and man-made at the same time (Mazziotti,
et.a l 2016). The natural factor range from severe to permanent damage to our environmental
setting with the degradation. The man made effects include the health hazards and the rise in
the incidences of the cardiac arrests and the heart attacks among humans (Amin, et,al 2016).
Preventive Measures
At the end of the first part of my assignment have highlighted about the various preventive
measures that can be adopted by the common man to deal with the increasing detrimental
effects of fire outbreaks. The prevention strategies can include the guarding off the heaters
and other such electrical appliances in most of the residential buildings or adoption of the
application of the portable and the smaller heaters in order to reduce the severity of these
accidents. In addition to all these measures there should be a surrounding guard for all these
appliances at the residential buildings (Dettmeyer, 2018). There should be greater usage of the

modern glass appliances than the traditional form of the appliances that is used by the
common man today. Apart from ensuring safety in houses and in the industries, there should
also be adequate safety standards that should be adopted in the process of the production of
certain medicines and drugs by the various pharmaceutical companies.
Analysis of the Presentation
The other part of the presentation dealt with the issues of fire and its effects that were shown
by the method of a power point presentation. The first slide of the presentation dealt with the
recent outbreaks of fire all over the globe. The reasons for such recent outbreaks of fire can
be placed between the varying natural and the anthropogenic factors. The first slide has also
discussed about the fire weather that is characterized by the recurrence of the extreme
weather events around eh globe happening in the recent years (Pereira ,et. al,2019).
The second slide has discussed about the increase in the outbreaks of the fire due to certain
environmental factors like lower incidences of rainfall and lower levels of humidity in the
atmosphere along with the other climatic severities like the floods and the droughts and the
frequent heat waves observed during the summer months.
The third slide has stated about the fire outbreaks which has taken place due to the issues of
heat, repeated smoke and the electric failures. Electrocution has become the most serious
issue of the recent time with the complexity in its claim structure n most of the residential
dwellings mainly in the urban areas. Various incidents of the outbreak of fire has also
resulted from the crawl spaces in most the buildings that remain vacant.
The fourth slide talks about the rising cases of the electrocution that is also associated with
the various incidents of severe explosion along with the increase in the fire incidents in which

the incidences of the fire outbreak could not be dealt with properly because of the
unpredictability of the identification of the sources of such outbreak.
From both my assignment as well as my presentation it can be conclude that a large portion
of the damage caused by the outbreaks of the fire can be attributed to the carelessness and the
improper handling of the various electrical appliances. The preventive measures however to
lower the number of such accidents and also of such carelessness that can be preferably
attained by the increase in the level of awareness among the masses and with the correct
dissemination of the proper information on such vital issue of fire accidents.
He incidents of the fire outbreaks whether caused directly or indirectly by the passage of the
fire can lead to subsequent damage of the properties of man or the other accidents of people
that is related to the electrical fires. However in order to refer to a particular incident as the
incident from the electrical fire it is very important to reaffirm the fact that the electrical part
attached to the equipment can cause the outbreak of fire on the particular equipment. The
electrocution also happens in most of the cases by the simple negligence of men. For example
the outbreak of the fire in the Kamala Hills Café of Mumbai that took place in the year 2017
on 29th of December as resulted from the short circuit in the café on its rooftop pub. The main
cause of the accident was the rise in the hookah parlors in the café on an unprecedented scale.
Finally, it can be said that before fire becomes another factor of the degradation of the human
life, humans need to be more careful in adapting their lifestyles aligned with the various
environmental factors.
