"Fitzgerald's 'Gatsby': The World As Ash Heap," in The Twenties: Fiction, Poetry, Drama ,

In this article, author says that Fitzgald’s novel is most powerful of the sprit of times
than the collected assignments. Author mentions that all the characters are responsible for the
corruption occurred in 1920 which gives “the constructed part of illegal activities”.
Fitzgerald’s novel is a very strong personification for the spirit of times. Malpractice of 1920
soaked The Great Gatsby. Tom Buchanan is the most threating character in this particular
story. Jordan Baker appears as a pretty 3cheating character. Meyer Wolfsheim was the most
honest character at the time of gangsterdom in 1920. The Great Gatsby is highly filled with
uppermost life of the rich. The Great Gisby is more deeply rooted at the time of 1920 in the
life of jazz age. Tom Buchanan and others raise “business ethic” for their personal
advantages. In this article, author mentions that 1Gatsby is the only character in the novel that
has the capability of performing “unquiet darkness”. At the end of the novel, Gatsby’s dream
can be traced very easily. The major transformation of Gatsby takes place when he performs
his first encounter as a young officer at army which highlights “fragmentary accounts in
scattered chapters”. Though the concept could be very useful as well as understandable, if the
author goes in depth of the cause of the corruption. This article nicely articulates the
corruption of the Gatsby. Gatsby losses his control while 2interacting with Tom. This article
describes nicely regarding the greatness of the Gatsby which describes “romantically
transfigures [her] into a [creature] of Gatsby's imagination”. It also clearly describes
regarding the Buchanan. This article helps the reader can come to know regarding the culture
of the corruption in America. From this article, readers come to know regarding the super
sophisticated life of the Gatsby.
