1ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCE
With an introduction of efficient renewable based energy into our daily lives provides
new opportunities for the world to meet climate goals along with fueling of the growth in the
world economy, and benefits in generating employment, and further leads to the valuable
contribution to safe and favourable climate goals due to which the enhancement in human
well being is witnessed. Thereby, introducing alternative forms of energy like wind,
geothermal, hydropower, hydrogen and solar energy into our daily lives are often considered
as a practical step towards environmental as well as economic benefits. Following it, Canada
developed a partnership with provinces and territories with a motive to improve or introduce
alternate energy efficiency and reduce strain on the utilization of unrenewable energy. Such
motives are prominently accounted in the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and
Climate Change (PCF). In this paper, my intention is to deliver an argumentative structure to
justify and develop the statement of why the introduction of alternate forms of energy is
necessary and how it is economically effective. The paper predominantly highlights the
sphere of the effects on economic condition on both negative as well as positive grounds. To
establish my point, the paper is facilitated with credible reports that provide a wide view of
the utilization of alternative energy sources into our daily lives along with the economic and
environmental factors that dwell in the adoption of the alternative energy source.
The idea of introducing alternative forms of energy, as suggested by many experts, is
strongly supported in the paper. This is because coal, oil and natural gas will eventually get
depleted. The main motive for adopting or initiating alternate forms of energy is to make the
environment free of pollution that is generated due to the utilization of petroleum products
(IRENA). Following it, further models are constructed with such motive, and through these
models; it is observed the study assesses both positive as well as negative impacts (Perera et
al.). Firstly, the new energy efficiency program requires a decent amount of funding, which is
identified as a cost to the economy (Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017). However, it also

activates various new demands; for instance, the demand for encouraging renovation
contractors to modify homes that would support economic activity and generate employment
(Perera et al.). Secondly, through such energy efficiency or introducing alternative forms of
energy, the businesses and households appear to be saving energy bills. This leads to an
increase in the disposable income of households and further lowers the immense capital
investments in doing business (Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017). When the valuable capital
investment is reduced, it stimulates the people to utilize them in other productive purpose in
the arena of industries; as a result, the idea or the approach benefits in fueling the Canadian
economy (Perera et al.). The third factor that is assessed by the study of constructive model is
the reduction in sales energy. The reduced sales energy results in producing limitation of
utility revenue. As a result, it is viewed to be a negative impact in the sphere of employment,
for instance, the diminishing of employment results when the need for building new power
plan projects is reduced (Perera et al.).
Transition is a challenging phase. But if the transitions are developed for the noble
purpose, then going through the change is not supposed to be a big deal because the transition
is triggered following everyone’s will provided with the fact that it would support the motives
of achieving climate goals (IRENA). As per the reports gathered by the Generation Energy in
2017, almost 380,000 Canadians stepped forward to contribute their ideas Canadian’s energy
future as they wanted to witness the economic prosperity, a redefined quality of the
environment, and diversified nature of the social settlements and orientation (IRENA). That
would benefit in the context of global sustainable environmental as well as economic goals
(Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017). The alternate form of energy source has the potential to
generate employment. As per the reports, it is witnessed that there are about 10 million jobs
generated through such sustainable models across the world (IRENA). In the sector of solar
power, 3 million people are employed, the wind power plant employs 1.2 million people, and
activates various new demands; for instance, the demand for encouraging renovation

the hydropower plant employs people around 1.5 million (IRENA). Overall, it is recorded
that in the year 2016, the advance energy that includes wind energy, hydro energy,
geothermal energy, and solar energy, happens to contribute about $1.4 trillion to the economy
of the world (IRENA).
It is to mention that the adoption of alternative energy sources effectively brings
economic prosperity. Certain effective examples show efficiency in the implementation
towards retaining sustainability includes installation of a solar power system in the homes,
generation of electricity through wind energy as well as hydroelectricity (IRENA). Wind
power has efficiently contributed to the US economy; that is, it has attracted to an amount of
$100 billion in their new investments (Perera et al.). As per the current report, the value of the
economy will increase to $24 billion by 2020 (IRENA). Thereby, it is evident enough to
prove that the alternative energy sources provide a more stable economy that the
consumption or over exploitation of fossil fuels (Perera et al.). Through the use of alternative
energy sources, it is possible to attain climate goals, the aggressive increase in global
warming will gradually distort and degrade (IRENA). There will be a time when no more
wildfires or bushfire will be seen. It can also reduce the adverse impacts on human health that
is mainly caused due to the spread of infectious diseases (Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017).
Healthy environment with supportive climate will allow attaining a stable climate in the

increase and encouragement renewable energy source or alternative energy source permits to
reduce the cost of utilizing the valuable resource of coal, petroleum and fossil fuels, that is
identified as economically beneficial (Perera et al.).
In the course of introducing efficient forms of sustainable energy, it is also witnessed

greater valuable interest of climate goals (Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017). However, we
cannot keep on sticking to the conventional approach that is followed for years and the fact
that it would lead to the act of endangering our future generations (Perera et al.). However, as
per my opinion, especially in the sector of fossil fuel, it is suggested that the importers should
shift their interest and trade goals into sustainable trade businesses that are based on
renewable resources (Perera et al.). This would ensure to strengthen their security in retaining
their sustainability in trade business and also would overcome the rippling effect of their
economic status (Wicaksono, Jeong & Kang, 2017).
From the above discussion provided with credible reports of the world economy, it is
concluded that it is time to introduce alternative forms of energy into our daily lives. The
essay provides why it is necessary and how such initiatives will benefit us economically as
well as environmentally. Though there will be certain impacts during the transition period,
that is, the time of shifting the system of employment, business strategies, the implementation
from conventional sphere to the sphere of innovation; yet the challenges faced during the
construction of effective strategies towards adopting alternative energy sources would be
fruitful.
