The 4 needs selected were Normal day to day assistant, nutrition and food, mobility and
aid assistant and emotional support.
Mabel needs normal day-to-day assistant as she had undergone sickness and her health
needs to b proctored. A slightly improvement is observe and she had been released from the
hospital. Presently Mabel is at her home hence she must undergo regular assistance. She had to
undergo personal care for maintaining oral hygiene, grooming as well as daily dressing
(Connellan, 2018). Mabel is an old person hence she needs more attention and care. Mabel needs
regular medication that she must not miss hence a help from nurse would help Mabel in getting
medicine in regular time. If she misses any medicine, she might undergo. Therefore, normal day-
to-day need is necessary for Mabel.
Nutrition and food is required for every individual. It had been noticed that Mabel’s
appetite is changing and she is losing interest over foods. She is not taking her food regularly. As
a nurse, it becomes necessary that Mabel must have a proper food intake, however she had been
released to her home from the hospital it is necessary from the health care organization to
provide Mabel with regular required meal at her doorsteps. She is provided with fresh cooked
meal with proper dietary restriction, as she is unable to move or cook her food by herself. Hence,
this method is chosen so that Mabel can get proper food without making a trouble for herself.
Sometimes it becomes difficult for a patient to understand which meal and the type of dietary to
be followed; hence a service from the organization would help her in understanding a proper
meal plan so that there is no miss in the nutrition level in the body. If Mabel is lacking any
nutrition then there are chances that she would become sicker that would delay her recovery.
Therefore, proper nutrition and food plan is chosen for Mabel.

A proper mobility and aid assistant are required for Mabel. It had been noticed that Mabel
cannot walk properly, she needs assistance to walk. It had been chances that Mabel might fall if
she tries to walk by herself hence a assistance must be provided to her to walk properly (My
Aged Care, 2020). This service is chosen for Mabel because of her disability to walk. Mabel is
an old person with difficulty in walking. Assistance would help her to mobilize properly.
It has been noticed that a sick person with difficulty in walking needs a serious emotional
support. The patient feel emotionally destroyed. Mabel has been sick for long hence she needs
emotional support so that she can enjoy her life. Mabel had been going through mood swings,
hence a emotional or mental support would make her feel happy that might sometime help in her
recovery. Therefore, this service is chosen.
All the services have priority in the patient’s life.However all these 4services varies in the
list of priority.
Normal day to day nutrition is highly importance because a nutrition can help an
individual to live a healthy life. Mabel is sick and a normal assistance would make her feel
supportive and happy. This service would make Mabel share her needs with her assistance. She
would not feel inability to do anything. If Mabel is unable to do a particular thing her assistant
would help her in that work. Regular assistance can be in any field hence a regular help would
make Mabel feel happy that would help her in faster recovery. Therefore, in Mabel case this is

Nutrition and food is also important for a patient. It is given second priority because food
would make a person live however enjoying the life would come if there is support. Food and
nutrition is very important for a person. A person disease and illness can be kept under control if
