3Research Compliance 1.1 Introduction For solving out the conflict between two parties regarding exchange of fund and intellectual property, ADR (alternative dispute resolution) can be used as it involves non- adversarial ways to solve disputes. 1.2 Discussion With the help of methods under ADR, the conflict regarding intellectual property and exchange of funds can be resolved. Those methods are following: Mediation: it is a type of non-binding procedure which involves formalities where both the parties can submit their dispute for resolution. Here an intermediary would act as a mediator and help the parties to solve their dispute and get a mutual satisfactory result. The mediator should have proper knowledge regarding every possible framework and then choose the best framework for the particular conflict to resolve. Mediation is considered to be very confidential and hence if the parties want, they can withdraw the procedure at any point of time. There is no other third party involved during this process which helps the matter stay confidential (Linkedin.com., 2020). Arbitration: this is more formal than the mediation. It might be similar to mediation, but it is different in a lot of aspects like after the submission of the agreement by the parties, that dispute will be submitted to more than one arbitrators so that they can collectively find a proper solution for the conflict. Here the parties can choose their arbitrator rom whom they want to solve the conflict. Arbitrations looks into the legal position of the parties and then make a suitable decision which will be applicable for substantial law (Wipo.int., 2020).
