How are we supposed to go ahead with the project? The goal of the project is to use numerical methods to solve one or more engineering problems and to document your solution strategy, methodology, and analysis in a research paper. To that end, the first step is to understand the problem domain of the potential project(s). You do that by reviewing case studies, technical reports, and professional papers related to the subject matter. The textbook teaches you the numerical methods to perform computer-aided calculations. The end-of-chapter problems exposes some of their applications. Chapters 8, 12, and 20 contain extensive case studies (at the end-of-chapter problems) that would make the basis for great research projects. Also, Google Scholar, and our own HU Library portal are great resources for papers, etc. How we are going to submit it? There will be four deliverables: Deliverable 1:
