Project management plan refers to a document that is being utilized for describing each
phase associated with a project (Binder, 2016). The components related with PMP include
initiation, planning, execution, monitoring of processes and its closure. Basically, it is
responsible for identification of results related with project and at what rate success can be attained, how
it can be measured and various other factors are involved.
Organization
The assignment is based on a case of WOWS executives who are looking forward for
hiring motivated as well as talented employees who can work in a team. They will be liable for
managing the critical components and who possess knowledge related system or software
development generally multimedia application development.
Management & Technical approaches
The project is of higher priority and it will take near about 6 months for its completion.
Smart and Bright were joint sponsors for the project and they decided to have Lance Sweets as
the internal IT liaison. They were responsible for formulation of team for this project. For
managing this project, SCRUM project methodology as well as waterfall model (for clarification
related with requirements of project) and acceptance testing will be used for testing the
hardware. SCRUM methodology refers to agile way for managing a projects related with
software development with an aim to deliver new software ability within around 2 to 4 weeks.
Waterfall model denotes a classical model that is being utilized for SDLC (system development
life cycle) for creation of system through sequential and linear approach. Acceptance testing
denotes a technique which is utilized for identification whether software system has attained the
specified requirements or not. Basically, it verifies that organizational needs are fulfilled or not.
Work to Perform
The task is to manage a software project by making use of methodologies like SCRUM
and waterfall. The system will be tested by the usage of acceptance testing. The 6 analyst
programmers will be hired out of which 2 will be liable for designing SDLC as well as analyzing
requirements related with this and rest will be doing programming.
