This is a beginning lesson on Trigonometry for year 10
Lesson Objectives:
By the end of the study, the learners should be able to:
 Identify correctly the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle besides the opposite
and adjacent sides of any given right angled triangle
 Establish a pattern relating the ratio of sides of a triangle with angles and thus
comprehend the concepts of tangent, cosine and tangent angle ratios
 Apply trigonometry in the solution of real life problems among them those
inclusive of angles of depression as well as elongation
Key Concepts/Ideas:
Hypotenuse: The longest and slanting side of a right angled triangle
Height: The vertical side of the triangle
Adjacent: The side next to a given angle
