RE-CASTING THE PRINCESS BRIDE
The Princess Bride is a cult classic movie released in America in 1987. It was a
comedy film full of adventures, with an electrifying performance by the actors (Autio). The
essay aims to re-cast the actors of Thr Princess Bride.
Ansel Elgort would be as good an actor to play Wesley’s role as the farm boy. He’s
young, blond, innocent and has the features for which the character is known. Emma Watson
can bravely pull off the role of Princess Buttercup. She has the same independent personality
that describes her style. She has a strong will which will help her get into the character
quickly. Leonardo di Caprio would best fit into the role of Inigo Montoya. He immerses in all
his roles so he would brilliantly bring out the emotions and compassion from the audience
that is expected from the character of Inigo. Heath Ledger though dead would perfectly fit
into the shoes of Prince Humperdinck the bad guy who is still loved by the audience. He has
the judgemental eyes and intense look to play the character. Jess Eisenberg could play the
role of Vizzini who can be comical and sinister at the same time. Randy Couture as he is
muscular, can play the role of Fezzik who is capable of showing wisdom in a difficult
situation. Jeremy Renner can play the role of the baddie Count Rugen that the audience
would love to hate. Jeremy has played amusing characters so the role would suit him.
Therefore, the new set of actors with their brilliant performance would again make the
movie a blockbuster. They would bring something unique to their roles.
