The death is harsh punishment among all the punishments. The death penalty is named as
capital investment. Death punishment is regarded as government sanctioned practice where the
individual has provided death by state as a punishment for the offence. The death penalty is the
final harsh, degrading, and cruel punishment. The government sanctions death penalty to execute
death sentence in the world. The topic of death penalty is debatable. It is important question to
ask whether Canada should reinstate the death penalty. Another question is that whether capital
investment is ethical right or not. As per one side, it is good to give death penalty for the reason
that it scares individuals away from conducting wrong things like murder, rape, as well as
robbery. Another side says that there is potential of executing innocent people. However, other
side states that execution is murder. This essay discusses whether it is good to re-instate death
penalty in Canada. In the following parts, the advantages as well as disadvantages of death
penalty is also discussed. This essay also discusses the experience of death penalty in other
countries.
There are certain advantages as well as disadvantages of capital investment. The main
advantage is that the death penalty can render the deterrent against violent crimes. The life
sentence in custodial is inconsistent to the capital crimes. The death penalty focuses on the
ending life in quick manner and with Peace. The process of death penalty involves the painless
methods. Additionally, the capital investment does not re-victimize the influenced families. If
given life without parole, there is always a chance that the criminals can discuss the sides of
matters, define the action they had, or issue threats to different family members. In this way, the
death penalty finally ends the problem so that family of sufferer can sense as if they could be
secure once again. Death penalty is beneficial because it guards family of sufferers from

Further, the death penalty also has some disadvantages. The main disadvantage of death

someone, even he or she takes life of others, is not correct decision. Sometimes the death penalty
executes the people who are not guilty. Other disadvantage is that the cost of execution of death
penalty is more than in comparison of the execution of the methods. It can see that the death
penalty can cost more than one million dollars more for proceeding with capital punishment in
place of the sentence of life without the possibilities of bail (Anderson, Lytle & Schwadel, 2017).
Subsequently, there cannot be any deterrence to the offence with capital investment in place. It
can see that the states considering this punishment have high murder rate than states not
considering capital investment. Henceforth, the central trends do not affect the decisions by
criminal to violate laws, whether there is capital investment or not. It can see that there is no

should be reinstated in Canada (Schabas, 2019). It can say that the innocent people can be
released from the prison, but the death penalty can never be reversed. Different people are
claimed to have been innocent sufferers of death penalty. Subsequently, it is also not easy or pain
free for the people who killed by lethal vaccination as well as electrical shock. The electrical
shock and lethal injection can be intolerable for people. Additionally, it is also not good to give
death penalty in return to a person who kill someone. These cruel methods may not lessen the
pain by a time suffered by family members of sufferer. In this way, death penalty is required to

Moreover, death penalty degrades the justice. Forgoing human right to get the logic of

As per the above analysis, it can be concluded that there are various advantages as well as
disadvantages of capital investment. It is found that it is not a right thing. Canada should not
reinstate the death penalty. The reason is that this punishment cannot be reversed once it has
given. It can take the life of innocent people. It can say that giving order of death is not a good
way to reduce rate of crime in the society. In this way, it is also not a good method to maintain
justice. It is found that sometimes the blameless people and their family can suffer because of
this. The wrong execution is the failure of justice taking place while the innocent individual is
put to the death by this death sentence. Henceforth, there are several blameless people on the
death row.
