AI Summary
This assignment delves into the impact of panic buying on gun sales, particularly in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. The student's response addresses two key questions: firstly, the general trend of increased gun sales during panic situations like epidemics, pandemics, and natural disasters; and secondly, the specific governmental responses to the coronavirus that have influenced this trend. The assignment highlights the role of fear and disruption of daily life, particularly for professionals like farmers, as drivers of this behavior. The assignment concludes with an emphasis on the potential for increased antisocial behaviors, like robberies, due to the spread of the virus and the subsequent panic. The assignment uses references to support the claims made in the document.

The section given below will address two questions based in the discussion post
associated with this assignment about gun and ammunition buying during the panic situation.
Answer 1) Guns and ammunition sales have been found to rise due to the panic situations
which are occurring today in the world. Panic conditions mainly include epidemics,
pandemics, natural disasters such as earthquake and floods including drought. These
conditions force the human community to feel scared and lure themselves away from their
daily life activities. The daily life activities include professional activities for all the human
beings associated with some kind of profession (Tanne, 2019). Doctors, engineers,
agricultural farmers and other professionals have been found to stop their daily activities to
get rid of or prevent themselves from getting affected by the current panic situation.
Answer 2) Buying guns is not a response to a panic situation but a governmental response to
what is happening because of the coronavirus (Mahase, 2020). Due to the overspreading
nature of coronavirus, people have been found to avoid themselves from the activities of
daily life. This virus has mainly affected the people living in rural areas (farmers) which led
to a stoppage in grain production. Thus, human beings have to fight for survival if this virus
goes on spreading for long throughout the human population in future. This condition can
give rise to anti-social effects which may lead to robberies and other antisocial activities.
Thus, it can be stated that buying guns can be an action of the human population against the
government response to coronavirus.
