employees.
Question
What is the importance of training and development program in raising satisfaction level
of hotel Hilton employees?
1.2 Rationale of the project
The main purpose behind conducting the given research is to analyze that whether
training and development programs helps in raising satisfaction level of hotel employees or not.
For any firm, the training and development programs has crucial importance. This is because,
with the help of given activity, manager of firm will able to direct their efforts to enhance that
particular skill among its employees in which they are lacking (Ahier and Esland, 2013) The

in an effective way. This is because, it has been seen that human resource feels highly
dissatisfied when firm do not take any measure to improve their specific skill.
Besides this, there are several reasons due to which I have selected this particular topic

1.3 Critically reviewing the literature
According to the view point of Cummings and Worley, 2014 “Training and development
is the function of human resource which aims at improving performance of employees in an
effective manner” (Cummings and Worley, 2014). In addition to this, Ford, 2014 has stated that
“Training and development program consists of series of steps which helps in developing
ineffective skills of workers” (Ford, 2014).
Besides this, Rubin and Pepler, 2013 have depicted that “Training and development
programs helps in raising motivation or satisfaction level of workers” (Rubin and Pepler, 2013).
The given thing which is being depicted by the particular authors is right. This is because, it has
been seen that workers feel highly dissatisfied when firm do not make efforts to improve
performance of employees. Furthermore, in return of delivering services to corporation,
employees always expect that firm will give significant contribution in terms of raising their
employability skill in them in an effectual manner (Khan, Khan and Khan, 2011).
However, if the given type of activity is not being carried out by firm at that time they
will feel highly demotivated. Due to this, they will not give their best performance in the
enterprise and because of thisfirm has to incur losses.
In addition to this, as per the view point of Salome and Rotimi, 2013, “The profits of the
firm can be improved with the help of training programs” (Salome and Rotimi, 2013). The
statement given by author is also correct. The profitability related condition of the firm largely
depends upon skills and capabilities of employees. This can be improved with the help of
training and development programme in an appropriate manner. Furthermore, as per the view
point of Hamid, 2013 “The satisfaction level of employees is directly influenced through
activities which are conducted within the organization” (Hamid, 2013). The statement given by
the scholar is correct.
It is due to the fact that number of activities such as team building, games and training
programs etc. plays very crucial role in raising motivation level of employees. This is because;
routine firm’s activity causes stress among workers. Thus, the given type of program assists the
hotel workers to spare some time besides their daily routine job (Eduku and Annan-Prah, 2015).
These programs not only reduces stress among workers but it also plays very significant role in
enhancing skills and abilities of workers. Overall, it can be said that training program of the firm

1.4 Proposed methods of research
For the present study, following research methods will be used: Data collection: For the selected topic which is on analyzing the importance of training
and development program in raising the satisfaction level of Hilton employees, both data
collection method will be used. It consists of primary and secondary (Weischedel,
Matear, Deans, 2005). Here, secondary data can be collected through journals, online
article and company magazines Researcher will conduct survey through questionnaire
with an aim to assemble primary data for the given study. Research methods: For the present study, qualitative research approach will be used. In
this context, it is assessed that with the help of given approach information w selected
topic can be assembled from the large number of Hilton workers. As a result effective
conclusion will be drawn by the scholar (Gautam and Luitel, 2013). Sample and Sampling methods: Sample of 50 Hilton workers will be collected and it
will be collected with the help of sampling method such as random sampling approach.
This approach gives each sample an equal chance of being selected.
Limitation of study: The unavailability of sufficient time and finance is the major
limitation of the given study.
2.1 Resources needed for conducting the research
Scholar will require three different types of resources with an aim to carry out its study in
an appropriate manner: Human resource: Researcher will require sufficient number of individuals with an aim to
analyze collected data for the selected topic. The given thing will assist the manager in
achieving aims and objectives of the given study. Financial resource: The firm will also require huge finance to collect the data for the
present study through primary and secondary means (Carson, 2014).
Time resource: In order to assemble data through primary means, sufficient amount of
time will be also required by the researcher. Here, time will be needed for the purpose to
interpret and analyze the collected data.

framed questionnaire. This questionnaire consists of number of questions and these are framed
with the help of which the aims and objectives of the present study can be met. In addition to
this, both open and close ended type of questions has been used for the present study.
Here, with the help of close ended questions specific information can be gathered by the
scholar on the topic (Type of questionnaire, 2015). In the similar way, by using open ended
questions opportunity can be given to sample of present study to freely present their views in
front of the scholar of the particular study. The given thing helps the researcher to meet the
framed objectives of the study in more efficient manner. Email and social networking sites such
as Facebook and Twitter will be used in delivering the framed questionnaire to sample.. These
are regarded as effective tools as with the help of these methods large number of customer can be
attracted by the Hilton hotel in an appropriate manner (Weischedel, Matear Deans, 2005). The
given type of question will also assist researcher in maintaining the reliability of the research. In
addition to this, for the purpose to analyse data collected for the given study, the technique such
as thematic analysis is used. It is the approach in which themes are prepared on the basis of
questionnaire. These themes are used to draw appropriate conclusion for the study.
3.1 To evaluate the factor which leads to influence the achievement of project
Two basic type of factors are assessed which create hurdles in the smooth going research
operation of researcher. Furthermore, the given factors will also cause significant impact on the
result of the study. Thus, it is very essential for the scholar to take prior measures with respect to
given factors. The detailed explanation regarding factors is depicted in below: Unavailability of sufficient finance: The researcher requires significant amount of
money in every step of conducting the research on the topic of analysing the importance
of training and development program in raising satisfaction level of Hilton employees.
However, unavailability of finance will affect the result of the study. Furthermore, it has
also become difficult for the researcher to meet objective of the study because of the
presence of given issue.
Time limitation: The researcher needed sufficient time to analyse and interpret result of
the present study (Carson, 2014). The time is also needed for the purpose to assemble
specific and reliable data for the particular study. Overall, it can be said that by taking
action against these two given issues, scholar can fulfil aims and objectives of the present
study.
