914141414TASK 1: RESEARCH PROPOSAL 1.1 Provisional title and objectives The research proposal is prepared on the topic of “Analyzing the importance of trainingand development program in raising satisfaction level of employees: A case study of hotelHilton”. Aim and objectives The main aim of this research is to assess the significance of training and developmentprograms in raising satisfaction level of employees. On the basis of given aim following objectives are framed:To analyze the importance of training and development programs for hospitality firms.To evaluate the relationship that exists between training program of hotel Hilton andsatisfaction level of workers.To recommend some other ways of improving satisfaction level of hotel Hiltonemployees.Question What is the importance of training and development program in raising satisfaction levelof hotel Hilton employees?1.2 Rationale of the project The main purpose behind conducting the given research is to analyze that whethertraining and development programs helps in raising satisfaction level of hotel employees or not.For any firm, the training and development programs has crucial importance. This is because,with the help of given activity, manager of firm will able to direct their efforts to enhance thatparticular skill among its employees in which they are lacking (Ahier and Esland, 2013) Thegiven step which is taken by corporation will help in raising the satisfaction level of employeesin an effective way. This is because, it has been seen that human resource feels highlydissatisfied when firm do not take any measure to improve their specific skill. Besides this, there are several reasons due to which I have selected this particular topicfor the study. I am interested in increasing my knowledge regarding varied ways of enhancingthe satisfaction level of workers. Furthermore, availability of large amount of data with regard tothe given study has also influenced me for selecting this particular topic.

914141414141.3 Critically reviewing the literature According to the view point of Cummings and Worley, 2014 “Training and developmentis the function of human resource which aims at improving performance of employees in aneffective manner” (Cummings and Worley, 2014). In addition to this, Ford, 2014 has stated that“Training and development program consists of series of steps which helps in developingineffective skills of workers” (Ford, 2014). Besides this, Rubin and Pepler, 2013 have depicted that “Training and developmentprograms helps in raising motivation or satisfaction level of workers” (Rubin and Pepler, 2013).The given thing which is being depicted by the particular authors is right. This is because, it hasbeen seen that workers feel highly dissatisfied when firm do not make efforts to improveperformance of employees. Furthermore, in return of delivering services to corporation,employees always expect that firm will give significant contribution in terms of raising theiremployability skill in them in an effectual manner (Khan, Khan and Khan, 2011). However, if the given type of activity is not being carried out by firm at that time theywill feel highly demotivated. Due to this, they will not give their best performance in theenterprise and because of thisfirm has to incur losses.In addition to this, as per the view point of Salome and Rotimi, 2013, “The profits of thefirm can be improved with the help of training programs” (Salome and Rotimi, 2013). Thestatement given by author is also correct. The profitability related condition of the firm largelydepends upon skills and capabilities of employees. This can be improved with the help oftraining and development programme in an appropriate manner. Furthermore, as per the viewpoint of Hamid, 2013 “The satisfaction level of employees is directly influenced throughactivities which are conducted within the organization” (Hamid, 2013). The statement given bythe scholar is correct. It is due to the fact that number of activities such as team building, games and trainingprograms etc. plays very crucial role in raising motivation level of employees. This is because;routine firm’s activity causes stress among workers. Thus, the given type of program assists thehotel workers to spare some time besides their daily routine job (Eduku and Annan-Prah, 2015).These programs not only reduces stress among workers but it also plays very significant role inenhancing skills and abilities of workers. Overall, it can be said that training program of the firm
