this regard, training and development program are design by the company to produce effective
results at workplace (Zhao, Wang and Fan, 2015). Therefore, continuous learning and
development program assists to determine significant role for enhancing their skills to attain
more profits at workplace. In health and social care era, training and development program
determines critical role that assists to increase skills and abilities in systematic manner.
Therefore, it increases patient safety and their satisfaction towards the services that are given by
care workers. Thus, present study examines impact of the design training and development
program on the overall execution of the project at workplace (Marković, Lončarić and Lončarić,
2014).
In order to conduct the present research, rationale exists to measure effectiveness of the
training and development program on the employees of health and social care enterprise. With
the help of present research, existing care workers of NHS can increase their efficiency ad skills
which require for care patient in the institute. In addition to this, it is also helpful to gain insight
knowledge for proper development of the results that create effective growth of the enterprise to
deal with different issues of patient at workplace.

Aim: “To identify impact of the training and development program to increase workers
performances in health and social care – A case study on National Health Care (NHS)”.
Objectives:
 To understand concept of training and development program in health and social care.
 To measure influence of the training program on employees towards safety and care of
patient.

 To recommends ways through NHS can increase their efficiency to deal with each patient
of the care centre.

1.2 Factor that contributes in the research project selection
In respect develop effective functioning in the research project, there are several elements
exists which impact on the different activities that assists to make effective functioning at
workplace. In this regard, following are certain elements exists that impact on the research
project of the NHS:
 Cost: It is the major factor which contributes major participation in the present research.
In this regard, researcher requires pound 450. This amount will be divided in different
activities that assist to accomplish desired results at workplace. Therefore, it helps to
ascertain effective results in the research.
 Interest: In addition to this, researcher has interest to identify training and development
need in the NHS to ascertain effective results at workplace. In this regard, researcher
wants to know about the employees and care workers requirement to provide effective
services to each patient at workplace (Zhao, Wang and Fan, 2015).
 Knowledge: Further, surveyor also has knowledge towards the employee training and
development towards the NHS people. Therefore, it assists to create effective functioning
at workplace. In this way, researcher will easily gain more and effective knowledge
towards their interested areas at workplace.

determine important function that play important role to deal with each patient at workplace. It
assists to support in increasing the knowledge with effective skills of the workers that are exists
in the business. In addition to this, in the modern era of the market, business operating their
functions and operations in the challenging market to deal with different skilled workforce. On
the other hand, Greenwood, Habibi, Smith and Manthorpe, (2015) stated that training and
development strongly focuses on the increasing skills that are working in the health and social
care. With this aspect, business operations are carried that increase appropriate knowledge that
are require to deal with different patient. Beside this, there are different tools of implement
training and development program that carry smooth functions at workplace. In contradicting,
Zhao, Wang and Fan, (2015) said that without effective training program it is impossible to solve
issue and problems of patient in health and social care. Therefore, NHS need to offer different
kinds of training methods that assists to ascertain effective functioning at workplace. It is the
systematic process in which knowledge level also increases among the workers which carry
several operations in systematic perspective manner.
Types of training methods
According to the point of Marković, Lončarić and Lončarić, (2014), there are several
kinds of training methods are recognised at workplace that support to NHS to deal with different
patient at workplace. It also helps to create loyalty among different care users in systematic
manner. In addition to this, there are two kinds of methods can be applied such as on the job and
off the job. On the job training assists to take consideration in the large number of aspects such
as job rotation, coaching, etc. On the other hand, off the job training is the training method in
which workers learn without practical aspect in the organisation. As per the point of Greenwood,
Habibi, Smith and Manthorpe, (2015), job training method also ascertains simulation exercise,
conferences, lectures, etc. With the help of these tools, NHS able to deliver effective results at
workplace and organise different activities at workplace. Hence, staff members of the health and
social care needed major areas in which performances could be develop in systematic manner.
Sometimes it is also possible to the staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills for
overall operations at workplace. Apart from this, Zhao, Wang and Fan, (2015) also argued that
they are not able to carried different patient together at workplace so that their responsibilities

many be increasing. In respect to ascertain employee efficiency very fast, it is important to
undergo the training program to lead with different aspects.
On the other hand, Marković, Lončarić and Lončarić, (2014) argued that effective
methods are also rendering the training program that assists to create formal environment which
build effective results at workplace. Coaching is the suitable method that assists to develop skills
and abilities to assign roles and responsibilities in the business environment. Hence, it leads with
job satisfaction in which staff members could participates in systematic manner. In contradicting,
job rotation is the is the most effective framework in which appropriate platform could be
provide to each candidate at workplace that assists to meet with effective results at workplace. In
contradicting, Zhao, Wang and Fan, (2015) stated that without effective training program, it is
not possible to operate functions and operations very creative at workplace. It impact on the
training program on the job performances of the staff members to determine creative aspect at
workplace. It also work to motivate the people which assists to enhance patient safety in
systematic manner.
In addition to this, Qin, Prybutok and Boakye, (2014) generated their views and said that
there are several chances in which the organisation can reduce their loss and enhance
profitability at workplace. Therefore, loyalty will be ascertained for patient with identifying
effective and significant training and development at workplace. It assists to enhance pace in the
health and social care in systematic manner at workplace. On the other hand, Zhao, Wang and
Fan, (2015) stated that there are different perspective exists that assists to make creative results
in the business environment. It also make effective functioning that creates several advantages to
ascertain more effective results in the business unit.

There are different elements exist that assists to develop effective results and outcomes at
workplace towards the goals and objectives. In this regard, following are different tools has been
used at workplace that assist to attain effective results at workplace.
 Research approach: Research approach is effective tool that assists to develop effective
functions. It carries successful study for the selected topic that makes clear understanding
towards training and development. Basically there are two kinds of research approach
exists such as inductive and deductive. For the present research, inductive research
approach has been selected (Gottlieb, 2013).

types of research design include descriptive, experimental, etc. In the present research,

2014).

results at workplace. There are several information gathering towards the topic and
develop knowledge through assess data. With this aspect, interpretivism and positivism
philosophy exist in front of the researcher that assists to make creative results at
workplace (Chokshi, 2014). For the present research, interpretivism philosophy ascertain
in the business.
 Methods for collecting data: There are different methods exists in which researcher
ascertain effective result. With the help of primary and secondary information has been
selected in the systematic manner. Questionnaire is design to collect relevant information
with fresh information will be collect at workplace that makes creative results. On the
other hand, secondary information will be collected such as newspaper, magazines,

In respect to develop effective results, there are different elements exists to find out the
effective results at workplace. In this way, researcher need to ascertain techniques that make
conduct effective functions at workplace. In this regard, questionnaire design that grow
performances in systematic manner (Gallan, Jarvis and Bitner, 2013). It make creative results at
workplace through aims and objectives will be accomplish:
Scientific experiment model: This model assists to make effective functioning at workplace.
With this aspect, different rules and values describe through ascertain desirable results. Along
with this, it is helpful perspective that makes priorities in the project (Papanikolaou and Zygiaris,
2014).
Management oriented system model: In the selected enterprise, PERT and CPM models are
classified that assists to make creative functioning in the business to attain desired results. With

Interpretation: From the above graph, it can be stated there are 7 to 15 years age group of the
patient. Therefore, there are 15 people stated that patient require services from NHS. On the
other hand, it can be stated that there are 3 people who are ageing of 16 to 25 years.

Interpretation: From the above graph, it can be stated that there are 14 people exists who said
that genetic factor exist due to which different diseases create impact on the people.
Therefore, there are 1 person exist who said that wrong style of the people also increase
problems in the NHS.

 Prepare obesity treatment: With the help of effective obesity treatment program, NHS
can deal with different perspective. In this way, obesity treatment ascertain at workplace.
It is the systematic process the company can deal with several activities.
 Provide proper training and development functions to enhance skills: NHS can deal
with different patient through increase training and development. With the help of
effective training and development program ascertain which make creative results at
workplace (Glasby and Dickinson, 2014).
