This article discusses the concept of powers of attorney, their significance, and the differences between general power of attorney and enduring power of attorney. It also highlights the Powers of Attorney Act 2003 in New South Wales and the role of the Guardianship Tribunal in reviewing enduring powers of attorney. The challenges faced in the adjudication of cases and the introduction of Licensed Conveyancers as prescribed witnesses are also discussed.
