Business Goals
OZ Dispatch aims to deploy the
changes in their network to
generate more revenue.
It aims to enable live video
conversations and audio/video
sessions to members from the
portal.
The company wishes to bring
mobility within the network so more
productivity is attained on the go.
The company also wants to add
multi-layered security to the
network.

Technical Goals
Technical goals include the network
of OZ Dispatch to be made scalable
to support future expansions.
The major network address space
should be large enough to make
networks available for newer nodes
to the network.
Network performance is heavily
dependent on traffic so steps to
maintain traffic of the network in
acceptable levels (Han et al. 2015).
Security of the network is of
paramount importance and hence
steps to prevent them security risks
to the network is to be taken.

User Communities
The four different user communities
identified for OZ Dispatch are:
Managing Director
Managers
Operational Staff
Delivery Staff
The additional users that will be
needed by the network of OZ
Dispatch – network administrators
belong to the operational staff.

Network of Oz Dispatch
 The OZ Dispatch network is composed of two types of networks.
 One is the network for the main office at Parramatta region.
 The other network type that which serves the Collection Distribution
Centres which provide network access to laptops and smartphones only.
 The network at Parramatta office makes use of wired as well as wireless
connections.
 In networks of CDCs, wireless devices lie laptops and smartphones avail
network connections.

Wireless Network Access
 Wireless network access proves
to be extremely an important
feature of OZ Dispatch network.
 Ensured by Cisco WLAN
controllers, they provide access
to directors, managers, admins
and delivery staff (Sequeira et
al. 2017).
 Smartphones are provided
network access in every branch
by the network of OZ Dispatch.

Logical design of OZ Dispatch
network
 The logical design of OZ Dispatch
network is shown in the diagram.
 The router firewall forms the core
of the company network.
 The multilayer switch distributes
network access to lower layer
switches of different branches
(Gifre et al. 2018).
 Access layer switches of
respective branches provide
connections to respective devices.

CIDR IP Addressing
 CIDR replaces the ageing
classful IP addressing method.
 Enable Smaller transitions in
network of IP addresses required
by incrementing CIDR value
(Diekmann, Michaelis and Hupel
2016).
 This makes CIDR more efficient
than classful IP addressing and
prevents IPs from getting
wasted.

Routers and Switches
 The Cisco RV 110W is used as
the core router/firewall for
routing connections for the
different parts of the network
(Agbenyegah and Asante 2018).
 The Cisco SG350 is mainly used
as access layer switches to
implement the network.

Security of OZ Dispatch Network
 The firewall router is responsible
for ensuring security of the
network.
 The device is Cisco Rv110
firewall cum router.
 The firewall provides multiple
security features to provide
multi-layered security
 Such features can be packet
filtering, authentication
proactive threat protection
among others.

Conclusions
 From the slides of the presentation it is concluded that the new robust
network design of OZ Dispatch supports wireless connectivity thus
increasing productivity leading to higher revenues.
 The network is scalable and supports expansion of network by easily
integrating additional branches.
 Comprehensive multi-layered security is set up with the help of a firewall
router.
 Sufficient address space is kept in network allowing room for additional
branch networks and decent traffic rates over the network.
