social justice to the patients who are the sufferers. They are working so that every individual get
his right to which he is meant for. This fulfils the specific needs and desire of individuals which
reduces the mental illness.
As per the view point of author, Morgan 2018, it can be said that there is a powerful impact of
social work on mental health and illness. The mental health controls the life of individual and
hampers their personal as well as family work. The life of closed ones is also affected as the
patient goes in the depression and it dis balances the whole environment and the family. So to
work for the welfare of patient his family, there are numerous decisions and practices adopted by
the social Health Care workers. The Social Work conducted on this behalf is out of social cause
without any personal advantage of the social workers (Van Droogenbroeck, Spruyt and Keppens
2018). The social practices also works as affecting the mental health and recovery of the patient.
The social issues like family conditions, community differences, religion, age, gender, system,

work easily because there are many people in the society who works for creating hurdles.
Sometimes the mental health of patients gets so deteriorated that they have to take medical
treatment which requires therapy. In this time the sufferers are required to be in a positive
environment where they are treated with harmony and respect. But there are people in the society
who are creating a huge trouble in achieving the same. This in turn makes the situation more
abrupt and the mental health get more challenging (Spoorthy, Pratapa and Mahant 2020). Many a
times they are abused, ill treated for the work which they are performing. This reduces the will
power of social workers to work for the cause, thus the impact on positivity is reduced which
will make the mental health sufferers hopeless and lonely. So it is essential for the society to help
social workers in the task which they are performing as well as work towards the same in
creating society a better place to live for everyone.
According to the viewpoint of author, Michaels and et. al. 2017, it can be said that it is very
important to maintain a respectful and cordial relations between the social worker and the client.
If this is not done then there will be no results. Despite of the activities performed in full cause.
For this the social workers has to analyse the situation and then evaluate the alternatives. After
that the social worker analyses the environmental conditions and talk to the friends relatives or
any of the close ones who can brief about the situation in a more comprehensive manner. Then
the programs are organised by assessment and examination which can lead to control in
vulnerable situations (Adams, Huys and Roiser 2016). The risk assessment is done to reduce the
vulnerable situations which may arise, then the client is consulted and meeting is fixed on regular
intervals. Social worker also make sure that there is improvement by observing the client and
also taking feedback from the close ones or the one who know the client very well. The mental
health is a issue which can be resolved through numerous techniques. But the major one with
some of the mental health issues in the process is belongingness to the society and the society
favouring the sufferer to overcome. When society is not supportive, the individuals who suffer
mental illness cannot sustain there has to be self determination from the client side. Along with
this there has to be mutual understanding, confidentiality and accountability on both the sides.
The one who is working for the cause and the one who is suffering from it. The healthy
relationship will be making it easy to face the situation. The social worker works for a numerous
causes without having his own benefit and for this reason he has to be appreciated and his moral

is also required to be boosted. This can be done from the people of society for the patient himself
so that the social worker is working with desired results giving the best of the outcome.
CONCLUSION
The responsibility of social worker increases many folds as he has to work for the client as
well as improving knowledge and learning capability of the society and also its people. The
process of overcoming the mental illness is a lengthy process which has to be performed in a
series of systematic plan. The social workers are experienced and are trained in such a manner
that they have a developed plan with the strengths and weaknesses. This will help the client to
recover if the society and family members are supporting the same. The consequences that
arrives with them is not easy for the social workers to work in this cause because of numerous
challenges which are faced by the people of society.
