1ENGLISHIntroductionAbortion is the process by which the fetus is removed from the uterus of the mother.Abortion is one of the most sensitive issues and controversial issues of this era. People have beendebating on this particular topic whether abortion should be allowed or not. The spiritual leadersand religious leaders and many thinkers and philosophers have been raising their voice againstAbortion while many others believe that it can be allowed. There are others who think it can beallowed in certain situations. According to some people, this evil should not be allowed at all, while there are some who think that under certain conditions abortion should be allowed. In theyear 1973, the Supreme Court has made Abortion legal in United States of America. People whosupport abortions, are termed as Pro-choice and those are against of it are termed as Pro-life(Smith and Andrea). DiscussionAbortion is an evil in every sense; the unborn child has equal rights to be born. Being thebiological parents of a child does not give the authority to the parents to decide whether a childcan live or not. It is the ignorance of the parents to think that killing an unborn child is not amurder. It is also a murder, because the fetus is very much alive, as because it is partly formedhuman being. Thinking that abortion is ok until the child is born is equally an evil thought. Imany religious beliefs abortion is completely condemned. There are only few cases andscenarios when abortion should be allowed, like when there is certain problem for the mother toconceive the child, leaving health related issues, and abortion should not be justified. It is alsoargued that abortion should be allowed in the early stages of ten to twelve weeks. But, it is very

2ENGLISHdifficult to determine in which stage does the fetus coverts into a mature baby (Rose andMelody). Abortion has existed from the very beginning, and so has been this controversy, lookingat this issue with religious point of view, it can be said, that only God has the right to take thelives of anyone, and this idea forms the base for this argument. It is justified too, if killing aperson is a crime, then why not killing an infant is a crime, just because that infant is not bornone cannot justify it. If the fetus had not been aborted, surely he would have born and grown into a human being, so why should someone take away the right of unborn child to be born andlive (Munson, Daniel and Williams). Abortion is immoral, a war against unborn child, who cannot fight for himself and henceloses every time. It is also harmful for the mother as well because there a number of issues that iscaused by abortion like, headache, nausea, pelvic pain and many others. Not wanting a child isdefinitely the choice of the parents, but killing an unborn child just because they do not want achild is not at all justified. Other preventive measures can be taken before if one does not want achild. Why should an innocent pay for the mistakes or negligence of his parents. It is illegal inmany countries on moral grounds. Having own choices is good but, degrading to this level, where one has to kill a child for exercising their choices is very unfair. Freedom to have ownchoices in life cannot be applied everywhere, there are couple who are taking medical help justbecause they want to have a child they want to be parents. It is such a joy to listen to the sweettalks of a small child. Children are gifts of God and all are not luck enough to receive this gift sothose who are blessed should not reject the blessings (Kaczor and Christopher).
