Running head: Abstract Boarding school refers to the well-crafted package where the respective student will get exposure to the academics, sorts, extracurricular activities along with the necessary supervision. These institutions were creates the culture which enforces the children n to abide by the stringent code of conduct. However studies shows that children in USA do not long to go in boarding school. This has resulted to a development of a syndrome called “boarding school syndrome”, according to this syndrome the child learns to fake maturity and hide emotions (Schaverien). The current problem faced in the boarding school acknowledges to the difference in the race, class and the dilemmas for the people who are aspiring to move up the ladder to social hierarchy (Coleet al). The social inequality that is being reflected in my problem statement is a reflection of the particular discipline I belong. As sociology studies the dynamic aspect of the relationship pattern, the inequality that has been enforced in the institution of boarding schools is a matter of enquiry. This work will advocate on the current forms of inequality in boarding schools of USA. For addressing this problem, I interviewed the students who are currently going to the few boarding along with their parents. I have also acquired data from the secondary sources. The major findings of this research are related to the exploration of newer forms of inequality.Inaddition,Ihaverealisedthatinequalitydoesnotnecessarilymean discrimination; it is important to distinguished between equality, uniformity and equity. The larger implications of these findings will be to enhance the inclusive development strategies, which will boost the healthy environment of the country.
