INTRODUCTION
Academic and employability skills are very important for organisation because they give
knowledge and experience to an employee that helps to increase productivity and profitability of
organisation. Academic skills are those skills that getting from school education whereas
employability skills are skills in which employees use these academic skills practically in their
job role. It is very important for organisation success and growth of business because it directly
increase productivity and efficiency of employees. This report covers important topics and
concept of academic and employability skills that helps to generate organisation profits (Wolff,
and Booth,2017).
MAIN BODY
Academic skills are the skills that gain from school education while students get
knowledge. It is very important for students that they apply these skills in every place so that
they get success and growth in each and every section. Whereas employability skills are the
skills that are required in the organisation success and growth of the business(Rowe,. and
Zegwaard, 2017) Actually academic skills influence employability skills, effectiveness of
employability skills is depend on quality of academic skills. Some of the important components
and topics that should be understand to improve and apply employability skills that are
mentioned below:
Paraphrasing:
I found when I was getting practical knowledge in workplace that gives me very
important experience and knowledge’s. I analysed that paraphrasing is the rephrasing of
statement with the use of new words. It is the activity in which person write the text again with
the different use of words. I found that paraphrasing is important in students and employees life.
In students life, when I was study in the school then I make many projects that requires
rephrasing. Because the meaning of any particular topic can not change then it requires only
rephrasing that means use id different words that doesn't change the meaning of that concept. It
actually applies in every state and level. Meaning of any topic we can not change so if changes
can be done for avoiding plagiarism than I thought paraphrasing is best for reduce plagiarism
(Wandhe, 2020)
In job roles I made many research report in which I rephrasing some definitions. For
example, I was write a definition of primary data that it is very obvious that meaning can not be

change so I choose paraphrasing every time. It is best toolkit for writer who write essays and
articles. It actually doesn't mean that we can steal someone's idea. It refers to give meaning with
use of different words because the meaning can not change. So that's why paraphrasing is
important for academic and employability skills.
Summarising:
I analysed that summarizing is the important topic for students that they should know
about it. After study of many books and journals I found the right meaning of summarizing.
Summarizing refers to give brief information of particular subject or topic. It gives the overview
of topic that gives some important facts and figures that help to understand the whole topic in
short way. It should be at half page and depend on the word length of topic. Summarising is very
important for the students and employees life(Beas Collado, and García Agustín, 2018). I found
that when I was studying in school life then my teachers give some project reports in which the
first page is always of summary of the topic. Whereas in employment life I found that it is very
important a long essay should be summarize so that employees understand the topic and concept.
I also found that summarizing helps to make the difficulty level of research report easy so
that every person gets knowledge. Summarizing is the term that takes lots of knowledge of the
particular topic and converted in small or short summary. In this topic I found that it is applicable
in each state of life. It really helps to understand the meaning with the main points that are
covered in the summary. For example, if a person give 5000 words report that demands summary
in which they give the overview of the topic and some important topics and facts. It is very
important for the person life so that they can do easily task. In business world, no one read the
long prospectus of organisation they consider only summary of report that gives the brief
knowledge of whole report. I also analyse that academic and employability skills are very
necessary for summarizing any topic. It requires lots of skill and knowledge because it is not
easy task that any one can perform. So it is very important that every person should get the
knowledge and skills that are required in making summary (Kanu, and Otemuyiwa, 2019)
Time Management
From the certification of higher education in skills for the work place I learnt that time
management is an essential process and there is requirement of time management in every part of
life. I learnt the meaning of managing the time like the real precious thing that is available with a
person is time. The people who take time for granted face many challenges. Time management is
