INTRODUCTION
Academic and professional skills both are required for performing the task. To become
successful in the graduate school academic skills are necessary and having career in the
professional field specialized knowledge and skills are required to work effectively.
Present study will be based on the Volkswagen. It is a German automobile company
founded on 28 may 1937 by German Labour Front. Its headquarter is located in Wolfsburg. It is
the largest automaker company worldwide.
Report will include the introduction about the Volkswagen company. It will include
analysis of customers, public relation, sector in which it is working and the regulatory bodies of
the company. Further more it will include the conclusion and recommendations.
MAIN BODY
Introduction of Volkswagen
Volkswagen is a German based auto mobile company founded on 28 May 1937 by
German Labour Front. Its headquarter was situated in Wolfs burg. It is the largest auto maker
company Worldwide. The main market of the company is in China that delivers 40% of its sales
and Profits. The slogan of the company is “Volkswagen”. In the 1930s cars were a luxury but
most of the German people cannot afford the cars so they purchase motorcycle. Only one
German out of 50 has owned a car. As some of the car makers started an independent projects
named as “ people's car”. In September 2015 the company made almost 600000 cars for the US
market. Josef Ganz developed the standard superior. In Germany the company Hanomag
manufactured the 2/10 PS “Kommissbrot”, is a small engine car that is made from 1925 to 1928.
The revenue generating by the company is €235.8 billion and net income is €17.1 billion by
2018. Hans Ledwinka and Tatra T77 are the two popular car in the German that is affordable by
the people(Cottrell, 2017).
Ferdinand Porsche is a well known designer race car that is manufactured by the
company but customer has interest in the small car that is suitable for the family. He built a car
named as “Volksauto” using many popular ideas and its own innovation put together and made a
car with an air cooled rear engine. Later on Adolf Hitler became involved with the production of
a basic vehicle. Most of the people buy the car with the intention by means of saving scheme.
Beetle was one of the first car designed with the wind tunnel that is the method used by German
aircraft in designing. Volkswagen became an important element, symbolically and economically

in the West German regeneration. The company has owned the historic Audi brand that will be
disappeared after the Second World War (Bouffard, 2018).
Analysis of customers, public relations, Industry and the regulators of the company
Customers
Customers of the Volkswagen are rich people that can afford the cars. The company can
improve its services to satisfy the needs and wants of the customers. As it is improving the online
tracking services for them so that they are facilitated with good services. Volkswagen is giving
the customer best services as compared to the other company. The target customer of the
company are usually the rich class people who can afford the product of it. As the quality
product is being provided by Volkswagen so the customers are attracted towards it. It provide
high class facility in the cars that made it luxurious so more customers are attracted towards it. It
segments the market according to the needs and wants of the customers. For middle class people
it gives less price car that are being affordable by the customers easily. For high-class people it
made high price product by giving them luxury product that gives them comfort life. As it takes
the customers experience of using its product. It takes the 360 degree feedback from the
customers (Murray, 2017)After that it analyze the performance of the company as per the
feedback from the customers. Volkswagen uses the re-engineering system in the company that
helps in making the core system that includes the sales, distribution, funding and the customer
relationship management. As Volkswagen is the famous brand nowadays in the luxury product
customers are buying its car more as compared to the other brand. It provides all services to the
customers including the insurance and maintenance of the car. Because of the good quality and
best services it is the largest automobile company worldwide. It also maintains the customer
relationship management with its customers by providing them quality services. Most of the
customers of the Volkswagen company are high class people to whom it served its product
(Blackwelder and et.al.,2016).
Public Relation
Volkswagen maintains the good public relation in the marketplace. It organizes the
exhibitions and public relation campaign to attract the more customer towards it. It promotes its
product by giving ads in the newspaper, journals and magazines. By maintaining the good
customer relationship management more customers are attracted to buy the product. Maintaining
public relation plays an important role for the company to attract the customers (Kumari,and et.

al., 2019).it also provide cars on the early monthly installment basis that helps customers in
buying the cars. As Volkswagen is the big brand that attract customers by providing them quality
products and services on time. As it is building the trust in the minds of consumers and good
relations as well with them. It also maintains public relation from the social media as by giving
ads in between the different social media applications. Customer satisfaction is the main purpose
of the company as it provides them quality product. Maintaining the public relation helps in
increasing brand awareness of the company. As it supplies material from the different suppliers
that helps in building the good relation with them (Morris and Wilson,2016).
There are many techniques that is being used by the company to promote its product in
the marketplace. It also uses the 4Ps of marketing strategy to promote its products. By offering
good quality to customer that attract more people towards its brand. As Volkswagen is the
leading brand in maintaining the good relation with the customer. Customer satisfaction is the
base for the company to sell its product in the market. Customers are the king of the market and
the company have to manufacture the product accordingly. It also use different software to
inbuilt the system in their products as they use the latest technology that attract the more

good public relation helps in increasing the profit of the company.
Industry
Volkswagen is the automobile industry that manufactures the car and it is a German
based company. The word Volkswagen means people's car in German. Its headquarter is located
in Wolfs burg. As it provide 6,00,000 cars to the US market in 2015. It uses the “defeat
devices”that is used to check the vehicles that they are emitting the fuel or not. Then the same
device is fitted in the another 11 million cars of Volkswagen worldwide. It is known for its
quality and luxury product in the market. The German company Volkswagen is the largest
automaker in the world. It has 61 production plants and 15 factories in European countries. It
also operate in the America, Asia and Africa including other six countries.3,70,000 employees
are working around the world. It produces the daily output of over 26,600 motor vehicles and sell
in more than 150 countries around the world (Delaney and Bates, 2015).
It sold 10.7 million vehicles in 2017 a 4.3 percent increase from the previous year. The
growth of the company is increasing day by day. It became an important element , symbolically
and economically in the German. It manufactures the two type of cars. Type 1 include the

“beetle” and type 2 are the commercial vehicle and the VW Karmann Ghia sports car.
Volkswagens organize the exhibition in United States in 1949 and sold only two units in the first
year. It is also doing business in the Canada that reached the Toronto in December 1952.The
company has changed its name after the second world war and the production of the company is
also increases. The group's main market is in China that delivers 40% of its sales and profits.
The company's current slogan is “Volkswagen”. The company earns a revenue of €235.8 billion
by 2018. In between Adolf Hitler is involved in the stages of the production(Oldenkamp, van
Zelm and Huijbregts, 2016).
Regulators
The company is regulated by the Financial Reporting Council in United Kingdom. There
are so many regulatory bodies in the UK such as Pensions Regulator, Prudential Regulation
Authority and Financial Conduct Authority etc. These bodies implement the laws and enforcing
them in the country. As in UK Volkswagen is regulated under these bodies. According to it
company have to follow the rules and regulations of the country. As in every country there are
different regulatory bodies that governs the country. Regulatory bodies plays an important part
for the country. Without proper laws and regulation company can't run properly. As regulators
are the main bodies that help in providing the need to the companies. Regulatory bodies helps in
growth of the company. They have powers to see that the company or any organization is
operating on certain standards. It provides the transparency of information to the company in
making decision for the company. It monitors the performance of the company by applying the
Key Performance Indicators in the organisation. If the company is not following any standards
that are being set by the regulatory bodies the company have to pay the return of it. They charge
the financial penalties to the companies who are not imposing the laws in the company that is
being made by the company. As all the arrangements of resources in the company is given by
these regulatory bodies. Some regulatory bodies are also doing audit in the company at the time
of financial year (Siano and et. al.,2017).
Conclusion
From the above study it can be concluded that academic and professional skills are
necessary for doing any work. As at the time of schooling academic skills are necessary and in
professional life specialized knowledge and skills are required to carry out the work effectively
and efficiently. Satisfying the needs of the customer is the main motive of the company.

Maintaining the good public relation with the customers helps in growth of the company. As the
company is providing the high quality product to the customers that help in attracting the
customer. As taking the feedback from the customers also help in increasing the performance of
the company. Good relation with the customer helps in enhancing the company. As different
company is regulated by the regulatory bodies so the company have to follow the standards that
is being made by the regulatory bodies. Providing quality product to the customer helps in the
growth of the company. It can be observed from the above study that providing quality product
and maintaining good relation helps in bringing the new changes and enhancement of the
growth.
Recommendation
From the above study it can be recommended that the company have to improve the
technology that is being used in the present. As if the company is using the latest technology the
manufacturing process of the company will work smoothly and the product made is of quality
and efficient to use. I recommended that the company also have to expand its market in the
global scenario. As the company is the automobile industry using the efficient resources helps
company in growing easily. Expansion of the company leads in the enhancement of the
company. As it is an automobile industry it has to use the latest equipment in the manufacturing
of the car. Maintaining the good relation with the customers is the key to success for the
company. Public relation campaigns also have to organize on time to time so that more
customers are attracted towards it. Use of quality raw material also helps in growth and
consumer attraction is increasing. By utilizing the resources in efficient manner helps in saving
the cost of the company. Operation cost is also reduced by applying the different methods of
manufacturing the car.
