Ethics related with moral judgement of an individual or group of individuals about right
or wrong, decision to behave in ethical manner is a moral concept and employees have to decide

in understand reaction in a certain situation long time after that situation happen. Ethical works

organisation always remain competitive enough in market place. This report is based on case
study of Gosport war memorial hospital with their focus on ethical and moral concerns that helps
in taking important decisions in case of some misshapen. The concern with Gosport war
memorial hospital that the former health minister, Jeremy Hunt guilty for the dependents of 456
patients who take treatments from that hospital (Balyer and Gunduz, 2012. ). But due to some
malpractices in treatment many people lost their precious life and consultants with nurses of
hospital acknowledge about that malpractices but not intervene in it. Time to time matter come in
attention but people give advise to take it any further (Bolívarv and Parodi, 2015.). After many
years Culprit of that case come into disciplinary action and found guilty in misconduct activities

in medication”.
This report is based on case study which states about medical malpractices in hospital and
cause lost of lives and for that health minister Jeremy Hunt felt guilty. In that aspect 456 patients
were given opioid drugs which given lose of their lives (Wilkes, Godwin and Gurney, 2015).
After that opioids prescribed after testing by Dr. Jane Barton but giving it to their patients and
hazardous affect on their health, no relevant action should be taken by them. All consultants,
nurses and pharmacists know about that malpractices that something went wrong but all persons
advised to take a matte any further. After many years General medical council take action against

Dr. Barton because she found culprit in serious professional misconduct. After 20 years bring
doctor under criminal charges that impact on image of both products and professionals also to
behave in ethical manner should be very important for any kind of industry. There are some
major attributes that helps in evaluate effects of malpractices in major spheres such as

Public relation is an important practice for deliberately managing or coordinating kinds of
information in between an individual or within an organisation. In public relations includes
acquire exposure from the potential clients or audiences by using topic of public interest and
news (Corebima, 2017.). PR are very much important for an organisation to remain always
competitive and build an brand image in marketplace. In case of Gosport war memorial hospital
when the news reveals about the applying kinds of malpractices in hospital which cause deaths
of 456 people that hinders their brand image in market. Such as media publish news that hospital
and their staff members disregard for human life and their culture for shortening the lives of
large no. of patients (Theeb, Muhaidat and Al-Zboon, 2014.). So not treating well with patients
impact on their brand image and after that incidence rate of consumers down rapidly and after
some time gate of hospitals got lock outs. After that report which published on that hospital that
published that better protection in bid to enhance safety in wake of that scandal. In that scandal
majorly complaints come from the general public and 11% from serious sanctions regarding
supervision of case.

scandal impact negatively on their revenue as well as their market share.

board responsible for set rules and policies for managing corporate and oversight, taking
important decisions on serious concerns. All organisation have their own board of directors that
helps in taking decisions in respect to organisational goals and objectives. In Gosport memorial
war hospital when serious scandal take place which caused of death of large no. of patients. After
happening that scandal the various committees and meetings should be originated. For resolving
that concern an independent panel was set up that raised by patients family members over no. of
years (Grinberg, Ivkina and Pak, 2015..). The panel reviewed major information according to
gathered findings and illustrates after disclosing documents that enhance understanding of public
after happening that event. The role of board of directors enhance because they had to give
decision after observing each and every essential aspect but on other hand image or loyalty of
board decreases simultaneously and no one trust on them and their decisions. Hence all these
aspects plays major role in organisational growth and enhancement, in that case if scandal
happens in organisation then it impacts on their ethical work practices which should be build
after serving lot to consumer by giving best services to many years. Ethics are very much
important for organisation growth and enhancement to remain stable for long period of time.
Shareholders:
A shareholder is an individual or group of individuals that legally owns more than one
shares of stock in both public or private sector corporation. Shareholders are also known as
members of corporation. In case of hospitality business the main shareholders are patients,
physicians, employers and insurance companies with pharmaceutical firms and most government
(Pertegal-Felices and et.al 2017). In which insurance companies sell and coverage plans directly
with employer or government intermediaries. In case of Gosport war memorial hospital when
incidence of malpractices related to drugs take place they it less or totally decrease faith or
loyalty of all kinds of shareholders that majorly participate in their work and profitability. At
time of incidence all shareholders helps in find out major cause behind it and majorly influence
on their works and procedures so that shareholders contribution in enhancement of profit and
growth decreases day by day and at last their decide in never giving their contribution because
they are disappointed from their activities that they persuade in context of their consumers.
Their major concern to keep always ethical works and practices in their hospital but due
to the mistake of one person all shareholders not able to take interest in their works and

procedures which negatively impact on their ethical works (halib, Corebima and Ghofur,
2017.). Ethical activities are very important for organisational growth and enhancement. For that
all shareholders have to move forward on good ethical practices so that always positive results
should be accomplished.
With the help of case study it has been understand that role of ethical works and activities are
very important for organisational growth and enhancement. Without ethical activities an
organisation can not able to capture attention of consumer rather than loose its market and
consumer that it possessed (.Rizqiyana, 2015.). Ethical activities creates a trust for organisation
and build an distinctive image in marketplace so that it is very important for any organisation to
always remain competitive in market and loyal also.
To remain always ethical organisation have to adopt some important ethical measures
that refers to standards regarding what is right or wrong behaviour while dealing with various
companies stakeholders in which customers, employees and vendors. Every business expects
with an individual expects ethical work and practices from others so that necessary and important
results should be accomplished. There are important measures to evaluate ethical practices such
as customer complaints, workplace ethical performance, contribution of community and
environmental protection measures (Sánchez, Esteban and Vicente, 2015,). In case of Gosport
war memorial hospital they measure their ethical performance when their consumers or patients'
family members complain about their services and when lot of people caused death. On other
hand when community not corporate with them when incident take place in hospital and so much
people died then community raise their voice against them and decrease their brand value with in
market which hampers self interest of them. In that case all major contributors plays major role
in organisational growth and enhancement by analysing needs and wants of shareholders and
giving accordingly.

From the above report it has been concluded that ethics is very much important for
organisational growth and enhancement. Ethical practices gives guidance in various situations
that what is wrong or right and it differ from person to person. Ethics are moral principles and
values that helps in create human behaviour and business ethics are very important to oblige
ethical norms and practices that plays very important role in maintaining an distinctive image in
marketplace. To reach at desirable goals and objectives organisation have to build ethical

objectives that helps in bring ethical work and practices in an organisation. In organisation
ethical work practices give appropriate path on which an organisation can move forward and
attain organisational goals and objectives.
RECOMMENDATION
Ethics is an important aspect that give definite path to reach at desirable goals and
objectives by grabbing attention of large no. of consumer base. From the above discussion about
Gosport War memorial hospital in which medicate malpractices happen and that caused no. of
deaths so after that culprit of malpractices caught in it and takes lot of time so in that case of
loyalty and image of that organisation get spoil and its market share also decreases day by day
with their major stakeholders discard from their operations. From the above discussion it has
been recommand that all people have to also think in perspective of society and never be so
much greedy that an individual not think in welfare of others. On other hand people have to give
their participation by adopting important measures which play important role in building a
distinctive image and reputation in marketplace. The another best practice that organisation have
to take care about their every stakeholder so that they can give their best in organisational
growth. On other hand organisation have to be strict for their ethical norms and practices so that
they remain always loyal towards works and practices and give their best by bringing harmony in
works and practices. All recommendation are very much important for organisation to take
important decisions in competitive marketplace to remain always in leading position. If all these
key areas in an organisation not be consider in proper manner then they loose their competitive
strength and reputation also which is an valuable resource for organisation as well as for
shareholders.
