Business ethics are important part of the organisation and play important role within the firm
toward the success and achievement of its goals and objectives. Business ethics are applied in
professional manner within the organisation which will help in examining the ethical
principles and moral within the employees and of the organisation. in this report there is
discussion about different factors related to business ethics where the case study of Amazon
and ethics taken. Jeff Bezos Serving as a CEO of Amazon, In his time Amazon is suffering
from harsh working condition for the employees as well as tax avoidance which impacted on
the ethical practices of the organisation and the different opinion of customer politicians Jeff

INTRODUCTION
Business ethics can be defined as that form of ethics which are in applied in
professional manner within the business that examine the ethical principles and moral within
the organisation which will arise in business environment.it apply to the all aspects of the
business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individual within the entire organisation
(Ruge and McCormack, 2017).
Business ethics are important part of the organisation because some businessman
practices by doing unfair trade practices like black marketing artificial high pricing and many
more. Use of business ethics will reduce these kinds of malpractices done by businessman.
Importance of business ethics is that they are mandatory to survival of the business because if
a business doesn't follow the business ethics then it will get only short term success and
failure in long run because of improper image within the market. Business ethics are also
required to protect the interest of the employees, shareholder, competitor, dealer and supplier
were directly linked to the organisation and can suffer because of unfair trade practices.
In this report the case studies of Amazon and ethics. Here there is discussion about
different aspects of the Amazon as well as character of JEFF BEZOS practices within the
Amazon. It can be seen that management is not following the ethics within its business which
impacting negatively on the employee’s performance as well as the Goodwill of the
organisation within the market because of political interventions due to non-fulfilment of
ethical liabilities of the organisation (Göpferich and Neumann, 2016). Compared to other
companies like test then it can be seen that is following more ethical practices within the
organisation where the employee satisfaction is also higher as well as the image of test and
founders are also good within the market. There is no legal liability of if it is compared with
Amazon because it fulfils all ethical duties of the organisation and related to employees as
well as society. In this report there is discussion about whether the CEO of Amazon things
that ethics should be main priority of the organisation or not. There is also a discussion about
what is the opinion of worker related to following ethical practices within the organisation.
There is also a discussion about the political thinking related to ethical consideration within
the organisation and can it become a main priority of the organisation. The consumer

The main purpose of Amazon is to follow the ethics in business organisation. It has
been analysed that management team of Amazon company does not follow at things that
imposes negative impact on the Goodwill of the organisation full stops therefore it is
necessary for organisation to fulfil the ethics with an organisation. In this assignment there is
a description regarding in the opinion of subordinate in relation to the ethical practices that is
followed with an organisation for stocks therefore the main purpose of Amazon company is
to follow the ethics so that it increases brand image and value of company in front of
customer at Marketplace. The other thing is that they focus is on providing priority to ethics
that is followed in the company. It increases profit margin and sales of company in future

period of time. It also increases the experience of customer during the particular phase of
time period

From the mentioned case study it can be concluded that the CEO of Amazon JEFF
BEZOS doesn't consider ethics a main priority of the organisation. Amazon is doing various
kinds of unethical practices which are directly related to tax avoidance low care of
employees. This can be seen from the case study that Amazon is a large organisation but it is
avoiding tax in various countries. So this is unethical practices and there is no action taken
against these practices by the CEO of Amazon JEFF BEZOS (Guraya and Chen, 2019). This
directly states that the CPU doesn't pay more attention to ethical practices within the
organisation and it can lead to dissatisfaction with the employees as well as society and will
reduce the future growth options for the organisation. According to study made
by(Chernyshov, 2016), organisation doesn't follow the ethical practices within the
environment which it is trading then it can lead to different negative outcomes to the
organisation and will directly impact the long run of the organisation business. This is seen
that in 2016 Amazon earn 24 million Euro profit in UK and this increase 72 million Euros in
2017. In 2016 Amazon paid 7.4 billion as a tax against the income of 24 million. But in 2017,
it paid only 4.6 million taxes against the profit of 72 million which directly shows that
Amazon is doing a tax avoidance which is not illegal but covered under unethical practices
by an organisation and JEFF BEZOS doesn't pay attention to this which directly states that he
is not interested in ethical practices within the organisation.
Whether the workers think ethics should be the main priority of an organisation
From the above mentioned case study this can be concluded that the worker within the
organisation things that should be the main priority of the organisation this is because they
are protesting against their CEO JEFF BEZOS because of an ethical practices and unfair
practices with the individuals who are working within the organisation. At time, JEFF
BEZOS taking the Axel Springer award, the worker of the Amazon are protesting against the
dangerous working conditions within the warehouses of the Amazon. This is because they are
continuously facing the different aspects related to unethical practices within the organisation
which are in form of long shaped use pressure to reach the target and increased working
hours (Moore and Morton, 2017). All these are impacting on the performance of the
employees as well as their health which will increase their health expenditure and reduce
their life expectancy. So worker are concerned about the ethical practices within the
organisation because this also impact negatively on their reputation as well as lead to
dissatisfaction among the employee is related to the work assigned to them. According to to
the consideration made(Cottrell, 2019), workers are always concerned with the business
ethics and follow-up of these business ethics because this will help them directly to increase
their job satisfaction and manage the work in an appropriate manner so that they can use their
motivation and productivity and reach to the length of their life and achieve their objectives.
The warehouse worker has the most effect of unethical practices within the organisation
should they are directly concerned with the ethical practices within the firm so that they can
increase their benefit as well as get what is right for them.

According to the viewpoint of(Cottrell, 2017), Politicians are the person who is made
to become a good leader where they can lead the people and the society towards the ethical
practices as well as maintaining a good consideration of business and society so that they can
manage ethical practices and provide benefits to both businesses and society. In reference to
the current case study of Amazon and ethics, this can be seen that politicians within different
societies are directly focused on the ethical practices and they think that there must be a
priority within the organisation to ethics. Jeremy Corbyn and Donald trump great politician as
well as leader of their respective countries. And both of them pay their interaction between
the unethical practices done by the Amazon within different countries related to tax
avoidance and dangerous working conditions within its warehouses. In their various political
agenda as well as conferences they point out Jeff Bezos for doing unethical practices related
to tax avoidance and dangerous working conditions of the employees in his warehouses. This
is because ethical practices are a must for the organisation and lead to a perfect society which
is the agent of both Donald trump and Jeremy Corbyn. So, this is clear that both are in favour
of ethical practices which should be followed by the organisation to boost its working
condition as well as increase the welfare towards the society so that society in business can
grow together.

for the business because directly and indirectly their related to the quality served to the
customers. this can be seen from the above mentioned case study related to Amazon and
ethics where Jeff bases doesn't pay more attention to the ethics within the organisation and
the Amazon is involved in practices related to tax avoidance and dangers working condition
for amazon's warehouse workers (Sigalit, Sivia and Michal, 2017). If Amazon doesn't pay the
text effectively than it is impossible for the government to use this text for the welfare of the
individuals who live within the society and these individuals are the end consumer of the
product supplied by the Amazon. Customer always in the favour of ethical practices within
the organisation so that they can get the direct and indirect benefits related to ethical practices
as well as development of the society where they are living.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded, that it is important for every organisation to follow the business
ethics which will help the firm in maintaining the Goodwill within the market as well as
increasing the satisfaction of employees, shareholders, competitors, dealers and customers
within the market. In context of Amazon, the CEO of Amazon is Jeff Bezos. it can be seen
that Jeff Bezos is not the person who follow business ethics effectively which can be seen in
the different conference of various political leaders like Donald trump criticise Jeff Bezos for
his unethical practices within different countries related to tax avoidance as well as improper
working conditions within the warehouses. There are various stakeholders like politicians
customers and workers within the Amazon who things that ethical practices are a must for the
organisation and they can be the priority of the form while doing their business. it can be
concluded that it is important for the shaft basis to think about ethical practices within the

Amazon and try to reduce negative things so that firm can achieve these ethical practices and
can increase its Goodwill in the market.
RECOMMENDATION
“Ethics important part of the organisation and if the organisation follows the ethical
practices then no one can stop the form to be success for long period of time”
From the above mentioned statement there are some recommendation to Amazon and
the CEO Jeff Bezos to follow the ethical practices within the organisation and achieve the
business objectives in limited time frame.
1. The recommendation must be adopted by Amazon company e is they implement
innovative technology in order to provide online services to its customer in easy
manner. It helps in attracting more and more customers towards company and also
increases profit margin in future period of time. They also offer discount free sample
to its customer for boosting brand image and reputation of company in front of
customer at Marketplace. It is recommended to the Amazon and Jeff business that
organisation must stop its practices related to tax avoidance within each and every
country. this will directly impact on the behaviour of individuals within the
organisation as well as increase the customer base for the firm because good ethical
practices will help the firm in increasing its reputation and attracting large number of
customers because of a proper Goodwill within the market, tax avoidance always
leads to decline in the Goodwill of the firm and Goodwill is the only way to increase
the profit for the near future as well as reputation of the organisation to stay for a long
within the business (Litchfield, Javernick‐Will and Maul, 2016)
2. Furthermore it is necessary for Amazon company to focus on the customer for
satisfying them full stops they offer a unique and specific product and services to its
customer in order to gain competitive edge over rivalries at Marketplace. It helps
them in making appropriate strategy for boosting productivity as well as profit margin
during the particular phase of time period. The one more recommendation to Amazon
is that it has to improve its working conditions within the warehouses by ensuring the
safety norms within the organisation so that it can reduce the chances of conflict as
well as injury. This will directly increase the motivation of the employee as well as
provide an effective care to the employees so that they can work more productively
within the organisation and will never leave the firm. For this organisation can also
use effective training and development program where it can train the employee
related to different aspects of the job so that they can perform effectively by
eliminating the chances of accident (Tantawi, Sadaf and AlHumaid, 2018).
3. The Other recommendation for Amazon company is the focus is on explore their
business across the world. If they operate their business worldwide then it is easy for
company to increase their brand image and reputation in mind set of user at
Marketplace, It is also recommended to the Amazon that it have to follow all the rules
and regulation formed by different governments which will never arise any legal
liability to the organisation and will also help in following the ethical practices within

the firm. By fulfilling these rules and regulations, organisation can directly increase
its Goodwill within the market because of ethical practices and will lead to success in
the future as large number of customer will attracted towards the firm because of
fulfilment of different legal liabilities (Meissner and Shmatko, 2019).
