INTRODUCTION
Academic and professional skills refers to the improvement in the set of knowledge that
requires gaining the desire position at workplace and maintaining the good relation with
the people in social life (Lin and Magnuson, 2018).
The benefits of group work can be understand by Belbin's Theory in academic and
professional which will be explained in this presentation.
This presentation will include advantage and disadvantage of individual and group
working.
Belbin suggests that, by understanding the role in a team will help individual to develop
their strength and manage weakness as a team member.

External factors
Continuation – Here continuation refers to the work that continuous if any person leave the
group, it doesn't affect the task on high level. Team work is beneficial for the organisation as
their work doesn't stop from one person (Neville and Schenk, 2018).
Environmental reason : This is the another external factor that affect the overall individual
performance and growth.

Internal factors
Student perception of education and knowledge- It highly impacts on student
academic skills as it depend on their perception and critical thinking that how they uses
knowledge.
Self awareness of the way they learn – This factors highly impacts on employee
academic skills as they might not aware about how and where they have to use skills and
knowledge. Their awareness affects their way of learning.
