INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are those skills which are used in order to develop learning capacity within
individual in relation to professional and education improvement. These skills help upon creating
stability regarding educational learning of an individual. The skills hold responsibility by making
sure that academic integrity is achieved by an individual. Employability skills means those set of
skills which are based upon employee’s perspective working in an organization. It is based over
those perspective helping an organization to achieve tasks and goals. This makes all technical
perspective understood regarding employee’s development while working in an organization.
Both academic and employability skills are important for students making competitive advantage
achieved within career development. It is important for a learner in academic life to develop
professional skills in order to grow at faster pace in the marketplace. Also these skills make
knowledge attained about various kinds perspectives which are covered while working within an
organization. Scope of these skills are wider as they directly impact employee’s sustainability
within an organization. In this file there are two task requires to be done, as per task one is based
upon motivating staff in best manner possible. In second part reflective report is required to be
written.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
‘What is the most effective way to motivate staff?’.
Motivation is one of the most important part of an organization which helps upon making
development of various process done more effectively (Mantzourani, Canedo and Fleming,
2021). Motivation is based over various perspectives which develop tendencies within
employees leading towards improvisation in their working patterns. It means process that is
based over initiating guidance and maintenance helping in making goals oriented approach
developed within employee working for particular organization. Motivation makes employees
achieve sustainability with growth by maintaining quality within the work of an individual
related to organizations task accomplishment process. Motivation refer upon factors which
mainly impacts behavioural patterns of an employee which makes direct action to be taken in
relation over task accomplishment. In terms of employee’s motivation there are two ideas which
are covered like extrinsic motivation which take rise from outside of an employee and include

rewards such as trophies, money, social recognition, or praise. Then comes intrinsic motivation
which relates with inner perspective of an employee based over developing conflict solving
techniques within them. These motivations can be beneficial towards all over growth and
development of employee while working in an organization. There are different ways within
which motivation is used by an organization. It serves for guiding force towards human
behaviour which can impacted in different manner. Motivation covers important aspect in
relation to employment. These perspectives in relation to motivation has been discussed as
follows:
Help improve the efficiency of people as they work toward goals
Help people take action within critical situation.
Encourage people to engage in health-oriented behaviours
Help people avoid unhealthy or maladaptive behaviours such as risk-taking and
addiction
Help people feel more in control of their lives
Improve overall well-being and happiness of an employee.
Motivation has deep impact over an organization making immediate realization done
over simply accomplishing goals and objectives set by an organization (Pugh and Broome,
2020). The goals are achieved with desired outcomes due to the impact. This makes endurance
developed in employees and making difficulties achieved more effectively. There are three major
components motivation which are activation, persistence and intensity which are discussed as
follows:
Activation includes decisions in order to initiate behaviour and covering various
perspective within making motivation build. It makes motivation to be achieved with
more effectiveness making organization initiate motivation.
Persistence it is based over making goals and obstacles removed by improving
psychological condition within an organization helping in making time, energy, and
resources managed by employees. This leads towards motivation achieved more
effectively.
Intensity can be seen in the concentration and vigor that goes into pursuing a goal. For
example, one student might coast by without much effort, while another student will
study regularly, participate in discussions, and take advantage of research opportunities
